Legend of Korra Book 4: Balance |OT| A Feast of Crows

Not even just because it was boring. The animation was terrible throughout, and the audio was bad to match. Also Appa running into every important character was a little straining on believability.

Now, when we're talking "filler" episodes, Tales of Ba Sing Se is unmatched. It's one of the best episode in the franchise, period. So good.

Tales was good. But in the context of the season, it was like a season low point. That whole 4-5 episode stretch is just weird.

EDIT: But as a standalone episode, it's great. I just meant, the pacing and overall stretch of episodes where that fall into, is pretty bleh.

Kind of off topic, but, I like the lead up hours to a new episode release because there is an anxious yet scared feeling in the air in this thread about how good the episode will be

I think Korragaf is more traumatized mentally then Korra herself

edit: yea the quality difference between Lost Days and Tales from Ba Sing Se are big. Tales, was one of the best episodes of the sesaon

Asami seems to me to be a character created as a means of putting a non-bender on the initial team for Book 1.

It was pretty much a way for the writers to say. (Here look, Asami is a non-bender, so what the non-benders are complaining about doesn't matter!) Despite the fact that she's rich and doesn't actually do much...they pretty much had to give her a sob story about her mother dying so she wouldn't look like a brat/ignorant for siding with Korra and the others.

(See? Her mother was killed by a Fire Bender, and she got over it, everyone should get over it!)

This next episode is big, I think, because it's going to set the tone for how Korra tackles the remainder of the season. It really is a make-it-or-break-it episode imo, since Korra has lost to Kuvira what else is there?

Break out the popcorn ladies and gents.

I skip Lost Days every time I rewatch Book 2.

I'm getting kind of worried now that Korra, being the worst avatar ever (of course), won't reconnect with her past lives and I'll have to switch out Azulas awesome avatar for another one.

Well, on the plus side I have this one for at least 6 weeks or so.

I doubt any previous avatar would even want to reconnect with the worst avatar ever.

Yeah, Unalaq probably failed severing the connection and everyone just decided to use the opportunity and finally die instead of watching Korra doing shit.

My theory is that every previous avatar is "alive" in the Spirit world but they are hiding from Korra. That's why we see Aang helping out Tenzin in the fog of lost souls. He is enjoying his new freedom, hanging out with Iroh and shit.

"Ahhhh bliss. I rather be lost in the fog than helping that brat. Finally vacation... for ever. Wait... is that... Tenzin? Tenzin! Tenzin, what the shit. GTFO! This is my hiding place!"

"Beyond the Horizon"
Book 4: Chapter 13
Written and directed by Cloud Strife.

*Korra walks into the Spirit World*

Roku: SHIT.

*everyone hides*

Korra: Oh, real mature guys.

Kuruk: Go away!

Aang: We're on vacation!

Korra: I need your help you asinine fucks. We gotta save the world.

Wan: I'm through with that shit. Plus, you hurt Raava.

Kiyoshi: Yeah, and you lost to Kuvira in the AVATAR state? You suck!

Korra: I'm sort of having mental issues right now, so if you could just-

Aang: My ass! I had to deal with so much more than a little poison and a crazy mole lady. Plus I had three kids!

Yang-Chen: Korra, please leave. You don't need us to beat Kuvira.

Korra: *sigh* I didn't want to have to do this...Raava!

*Raava comes out*

Everyone: SHIT!

Raava: Come here children.

*Raava proceeds to beat the living tar out of all the past-avatar spirits*

Korra: That's what I'm talking about. Now get inside me.

*All the avatars fuse with Korra again. She leaves the spirit world and confronts Kuvira*

Kuvira: Did you put on weight?

Korra: STFU mole-lady. Imma end you.

Kuvira: Oh? Last time you even went into the avatar state and I still rocked your shit.

Korra: Yeah, not this time. Observe!

*Korra goes into the Avatar state, and spiritual manifestations of all her past lives come out*

Aang: Charge!

*all the past lives charge Kuvira and tackle her*

Kuvira: Wtf is this?

Kiyoshi: Get her Korra!

Kuvira: Bataar Jr., save me!

Bataar Jr.: Nah bitch, I realized you were crazy last episode and I'm too busy crying to my mommy and daddy about how wrong I was. You're on your own.

Kuvira: Zhu Li!?

Zhu Li: Nope. I wanted to be Varrick'd all along. Betrayal successful!

Kuvira: Opal!?

Opal: Damn it, Kuvira! You were supposed to wait until the end of the episode! Now everyone knows! Wow.

Kuvira: *insert blasphemous curse word*

Korra: Bye bitch.

*Korra pulls out .22 Winchester Magnum and double taps, shit is edible*

Korra: I'm the Avatar, and you gotta deal with it.

*Korra puts on sunglasses and makes out with Asami*

-THE END-

I wonder if there's any fan art of Kuvira telling Bataar to get back in the kitchen.

Kuruk was a terrible Avatar. Does he have any real achievements? Dude got owned by Koh. 10-year-old Aang could cope with that shit easy.

t-minus 9 hours for new ep

plz b gud

Kind of expecting tonight's episode to be bad. Like, it will just be Korra broken, and be a bridge episode. I mean what can really happen? She will get back to Republic City. She will be in despair because she failed. Then there will be set up for her to take off on her mission to fix her issues. That might not even happen in today's episode, might be next weeks. Kuvira MIGHT get some screen time, like quick cuts to her being in Metal City. Maybe them saying "...and now we take Republic City" or them talking about the Spirit Vine shit being almost complete.

I wouldn't get your hopes up.

He didn't sever the connection to the paat avatars.

That's not an achievement, that's a lack of being actually shit. Korra may have cut that connection, but at least she, you know, saved the world doing it.

After she helped initiating a civil war and opening the portals to the spirit world in the first place. Without her the world would've been not be in danger from the Dark Avatar. She also gave the Red Lotus new power by not leaving the portals open with reasoning "why not" and gave Republic City and the spirit world a hard time with it.

We need this animated and dubbed!

Ill just say this

Kuruk didnt hide from the world for 100 years
Kuruk didnt open the spirit world for shits and giggles

Kuruk is that avatar. He would have told kuvira "slow down, bae" and she would be like "ok kuruk you right you right"

She also gave the Red Lotus new power by not leaving the portals open with reasoning "why not" and gave Republic City and the spirit world a hard time with it.

Comparatively, though, she was unfortunate to be born into the particular time period Vaatu was a threat. If Kuruk had been in the same situation, shit would probably have been waaaay worse. Again, dude lost to a guy beaten by a 10-year-old. That's lame as shit.

You think Unalaq could've bring Kuruk to anything?

"Kuruk, pls help with my righgeous civil war"
"no."
"Kuruk, pls open the portal"
"no."

And with this Zaheer would not get any air power, the Red Lotus remains jailed or in sleeper mode, the earth queen would not be killed by Zaheer, Kuvira had no reason to act against Su.

But neither Korra or Aang got in drunken bar brawls for shits and giggles, and Kuruk was a grown ass man. If he hid for 100 years he'd be known as the "bitch avatar."
Why would someone complain about that?
I don't think mothers wanted what was essentially a children's cartoon showing their kids their future obsession...then again ATLA had Ty Lee. Maybe it was to show how muscle bound she was...muscle chicks are not busty.

You think Unalaq could've bring Kuruk to anything?

"Kuruk, pls help with my righgeous civil war"
"no."
"Kuruk, pls open the portal"
"no."

Unalaq would have been all like

"Kuruk, there are some total babes trapped in the spirit world, you up to save that hiney bra?"
"bra, bra, dat ass doe"
"Kuruk, knew I could count on a fine ass brother like yourself"
"no problem bra, Imma open that portal like it aint no thang"

Confirmed:
- Korra gets back to Republic City (already confirmed)
- They talk about what happened at metal city (confirmed)

Woof Predictions:
- Republic City political powers start discussing what actions to take
- Korra meets back up with Mako and Asami, very emotional (as in not emotional at all)
- Somebody asks where Bolin is, somehow they find out he is missing/supposedly dead.
- Kai will appear again because the show needs to remind us he exists
- We are shown Kuvira in metal city settling in.
- We are shown Junior being ell "BLECH MAI WAIFU FOR YOU, SCIENCE"
- Appa and Momo come back from the future and warn Korra that Kuvira rises up to become a robot, and that the Korra from the future sent them to protect her.
