12-13 ep seasons aren't enough time for them to play to their strengths, is the issue. This format (a dozen sub-30 min episodes) is extremely difficult to produce content for unless the scope is small and it's meticulously laid out. They don't have the experience working in this structure to do it as well as Avatar turned out.

I don't think Avatar would nearly have turned out well either if it wasn't the length it ended up being. The cast probably would have ended up equally as frustrating as a result of scaling everything back to fit, heh.

Naga is actually the best character though!

If only we could have both of them

On the topic if Kuvira she no longer intrigues me. She went from Stalin to full on Hitler. And we didn't need another fucking Hitler.

Not awful. Great gif potential this week though. Wu could have been more annoying. The Avatar spirit tree shit is just bad though. C'mon copying the most profitable movie of all time

If Korrasami happens I'll stop calling Season 2 an abomination. In fact, season 2 will become my all time favourite season of the entire Avatar franchise. If the ship happens I will be completely indebted to the writers, and will continue to be indebted until I declare my love for season 2 above all else.

Lol, can't believe I wrote this, time to pay my debt.

KorraGAF is out of balance! Where is the GAFatar, when we need him the most?!

Made a bunch of new avatars from this episode. If no one uses them, that's totally fine. I'm just making them for fun and saving them in a folder. That said, here they are:

Yeah I thought that was weird.

It's a tool for the show to demonstrate that not everything is perfect since they reunited. They could've been more subtle about it, but I guess their reasoning is that Asami already knows what it means and doesn't need outsiders telling her the obvious

Just realized that Bolin with thair haircut kind of looks like Spike from Cowboy Bebop. Which he was already an inspiration for Jet in AtlA

Mako didn't get him. Korra had to do everything for them. I'm reminded now why I don't like the dynamic of this krew. Whenever they're together most turn incompetent and Korra has to save everybody.

At least everyone mostly held their own during the train sequence. It did bother me how Mako mostly just complained this episode but I still dig it.

Also, why does everyone have that jerk Kuvira as their avatar. Great uniter? More like Great u-WHINER if you ask me.

You know I never liked Varrick at first, but this season actually makes me like him. He put in work verbally and in battle. I was impressed how Varrick handled that guard.

I thought lavabending would have been an instant ko for those mechs, but it looks like we got better pilots on those things this time and they just jumped over the shits. They even had an answer to ice too. Lavabending is still op though as demonstrated how benders couldn't do anything against it.

Great episode!

Great episode!

the fact varric could rig a tool in 5 minutes that fucked them all up means that the dream team of Varric and Bolin to win the war is real. Varric shuts them all off and Bolin is the lava maker.

She does go on quite a bit about Su not stepping up. There is something grating about Kuvira's monotone voice when she goes off on her rants about people not doing things or something. lol

Then they should get off their asses and be productive. >:(

She's done more than what fucking SU will ever accomplish.

You are all just jealous she's in the right.

Su is a pretty grating character too. The metal bending city people are just annoying in general. I blame toph. Toph can always be blamed for everything.

C'mon they did the exact same panout shot of the tree being attacked.

So you have a problem that they did the same pan out shot from a movie? Seems like a petty thing to complain about. I could agree with you if the whole scenario felt forced, but it didn't. That tree existed in ATLA with all of the spirit vines, and Kuvira stops by there to get more spirit vines. I don't see how else they could have done it. Not like they'd march into Republic City and take their vines.
