Someone is streaming GTA V on PS4

I still don't get why they're so antsy about shutting all these "leaks" down... Like we don't already know how the story goes, and while it looks better, it's still the same locations we already know.

What's so hard to understand??? This is a current gen version of a game. Obviously you compare it to the other game current gen version as well. Maybe I'm not expressing myself clearly here. I'm comparing both studios (Rockstar and Ubi) efforts on current gen consoles. I think that this new version of gta V, on current gen consoles, kicks the living shit out of the current gen console version of WD. It's really simple. Am I talking in riddles here? Of course no one is gonna come up and say...ah, GTA V on PS4 looks better than its 360 version. Or the last gen version of WD. It's a no brainer, I didn't even thought anyone could take what I said the wrong way.

That's why I'm not talking about pc versions (as they are in their own league, with bells and whistles the consoles won't have). The PC version will only be compared to the PC version of gta V, see how they stack up. I'm pretty sure GTA V on PC will look better than WD on PC. I don't even know why I'm explaining this so thoroughly. You don't see DF face off of Mordor current gen vs Mordor last gen. It makes no sense, of course current gen versions of last gen games will look and play better than the previous version. They add the pc version in there but saying it looks/performs better is as needed as someone saying the sun will continue to rise every morning, for a very long time, until past we as a human species are all dead and buried. It's obvious it will always be the best version, and justifiably so.

(Not trying to act like an asshole here, honest. Maybe it didn't express myself well, but I think context was there. I would never compare a ps4 version of a game vs its competitor ps3 version. It would be unfair)

Well maybe I was being vague as this is where I disagree. I game at 1080 on PC as well, mainly due to the resolution limitations of the plasma tv I play on. I think it's reasonable from judging the PS4 version of GTA V, which runs at 1080, to expect a similar pedigree on PC in regards to texture resolution/effects. Who knows maybe they'll have some ultra textures that will blow the PS4 version out of the water, but judging from GTA IV's PC port I'm not holding my breath for something that looks substantially better. Having played WD @ 1080 on PC, I just noticed textures being much higher resolution, and a lighting model that overall looks better than what GTA V (PS4) offers. With all that said, I wasn't really expecting this up-rezzed version of GTA V to have drastically better textures, as it is a last gen title originally. For that kind of work we would have been waiting a lot longer, and I wouldn't have expected R* to devote that kind of time towards something that could have been better suited for the next installment in the series (or a different IP like RDR). That was entirely too long winded but you get my point (please).

This stream is making my decision to go with Dragons Age really difficult

I was having a battle before but now it's a full blown war on which to get. Jesus this looks really freakin good

remake or no remake...it's still an unreleased game

Were the animations always this good or did they improve them? Damn...

Didn't see the video, didn't play the previous version. But I do know that they had to make brand new animations for a lot of things (due to the new fps mode), and also know that framerate is silky smooth compared to the previous version, so it is possible that they could have new animations, or finally seeing them rendered with a consistently smooth framerate may give the effect of being better than they were before.

I get you man, I wasn't expressing myself very well. Anyway, it looks like everyone will be pleased with this game, regardless of the platform they'll be playing on. I don't have a pc capable of running this better than on ps4, but I have no doubt that they will provide a solid port, if their previous efforts (Max Payne 3) are something to go by. I think it will look amazing.

Haven't played since San Andreas. I paid little attention to GTAV when it released but this has got my attention. I love the minor details i'm seeing, the animations and graphics look insane.. I should really get a PS4 already.

so nice when that huge plane shadow cast over the streets

blood is so much more red... on PS3 it's a lot less bright and it never splatters so much. blood is more intense now

All those new cars in singleplayer makes me happy. Much bigger variety.

The atmospheric haze/smog really gives the city a new look at times.

The plane shadow from the PS4 debut trailer just happened in real time.

Dogs + cats running around gives those back alleys a lot more life.

So many new cars in singleplayer.

most of the new car are just old DLC cars or re-skins... I think the only truly new cars are the Stallion, Dukes, and Blista Compact. So far I mean. Maybe there are others no one has shown in a stream yet.

so nice to see them all spawn in traffic now though.
