Giant monster fight is what MADE season 2.

And stop putting Kuvira so low on your rankings people.
Something, something Pacific Rim.

As a side Toa, that Interstellar OST is glorious.

< The fuck you say to me!?

Haha, nice.

Chariot, you've given up on Opal being evil huh. That ship has sailed son. :p
No, as I said, I did not. I just think the comic is very funny, you know I love funny ideas. Just wait, and if it's just a stinger at the end of the last episode. I will wait until then until I declare anything.

It's okay to admit you are wrong. We will still support you here. You are still one of us.

Im guessing next week is going to be the shipping episode, like ep 5 was on book 1, then with that out of the way, more plot building until Kuvira finish her spirit bomb, and attacks Republic City the last two episodes.

lol oh boy. Asami x Mako make it happen Bryke.

I really do hope that since they didn't do it this episode that next episode is about the political power of Republic city discussing what their next move is, with the fire nation lending their support, and then Bolin and Varric kick the door down. All the ladies swoon at how manly they are as they explain about the mechs and nuclear bombs. They then decide that something has to be done to battle the mechs. Varric pulls out a piece of a buttered toast and a diamond and creates a device that can shut off every mech he created within a 20 mile radius. Bolin then makes a volcano and just destroys every mech within Kuvira's grasp. They then go to Korra as she's about to grab some lunch from the republic city cafeteria and slap the food tray out of her hands. As she's kneeling down to pick it up they slowly bring their lips towards her ears and whisper

the avatar isn't needed anymore

The avatar franchise is dead, long live the Varrick franchise.

Legend of Varrick: The Lost Nonbender - coming to you, fall 2015

Best thing about Book 4, no doubt. I would love to see him and Bolin more. I kind of wish that, word got out that Bolin and Varrick died. It would have been awesome to see everyone get all sad about it. All while they are on the run, working together to get back. I would have loved that side plot. Their redemption once they get back, would have been glorious.

Are people going to be pissed if Kuvira beats Toph or legit fights her to a stalemate? It would be kind of nice if Toph remarks that Kuvira picked metal bending up better than her daughters.

How come Mako hasn't had a talk with his Grandma and explain to her how the Earth Queen was a horrible, horrible person.

Given Kuvira already got beat down and finished by a single gust of wind, lol I would think it would be strange for Toph to beat her. As an antagonist, I'll find her to be...strange. I don't think Toph will win. Either the fight won't happen (she'll escape), or something will interrupt it. Or Kuvira will cheat or do some bullshit.

That is my guess.

the same reason people don't tell children about something they don't need to know. Ignorance is bliss and it does no harm in this case.

Doubt she would listen anyways. We are taking generations and a lifetime of deep belief. So much of her class/identiy fits into the kingdoms narrative and her belief in it.

if we only had the time :(

I would be terribly disappointed if Kuvria could match Toph. I seriously hope that she has something to stab her in the back to win the fight, if she wins.

Don't do that. I tried to talk with my grandmother about Hitler once. Is saw a documentary about him (was still in primary school, so I didn't had this topic in school yet).

Me: Hitler was pretty evil, right?
Grandma: [sighs] He lost the war. [walks out of the room]

Kuvira had Korra handled until she went into avatar cheat mode. Toph doesn't have avatar cheat mode, though she's kind of a cheat mode in and of herself these days. I just want something sort of fair looking. Though I'm curious how Kuvira would handle having a mountain thrown at her. Toph doesn't do small rock throwing. Though hopefully Kuvira would not restrain herself against Toph. I want her to go all out for once.

Meh. Avatar state gust of wind didn't seem special. And Kuvira was breaking sweat and breathing heavy fighting her. I think Kuvira isn't supposed to be portrayed as a super villain rather a regular person. Her danger comes from her ideas and what she's built up around her.

Unless they pull some bs with her using spirit vines to give her powers, I don't see her being that physical threat. But because of this, I think her losing an actual fight to Toph at this point in the story would be bizarre and would only lower the charcter some more.

As someone said, the villain this season is Korras demons and not Kuvira. The threat of Kuvira is the political ideas and movement she's pushing, and that Korra doesn't know how to solve them. Or how to make the avatar relevant with these state of affairs.

that too. Similar to the situation of my agnostic nature and my entire catholic family. My parents and sisters have learned to accept it but they do not like it. My dad still largely thinks I'm being rebellious which is extremely close minded.

My other family hasn't really been too bothersome surprisingly, especially considering I have this hyper religious uncle. We sat down one day to discuss religion and science, and even if our views were completely different I think he ended up respecting me because I wasn't dismissing the good the teachings of the bible can give, but I wasn't backing down from my scientific side.

But yeah the point is that I can try to convince all of them that science has a logic and why I don't necessarily believe in an all mighty power, but none of them are going to change their minds in the slightest or consider the opposing side.

Kuvira had Korra handled until she went into avatar cheat mode.

I think what we were supposed to take from that fight is that Korra is still exceptionally weak (and that the poison was not the only factor in her weakness), not that Kuvira is exceptionally strong (ie. stronger than Korra in her prime, let alone Aang or Toph in theirs). Note that Toph was also able to treat non-AS Korra like a fly while training her.

I didn't think she started to breathe heavy or look out of shape until she started to get thrown around by avatar state powered wind. Though yeah you're right Kuvira is a glass canon, she needs to work on her durability. She isn't Sozin's Comet Ozai strong I will admit, but I would assume she'd still wreck most benders in a fight. But Korra does appear to be her own worst villain this season, which is why I hope they don't kill Kuvira.

Yeah, that's what I got from the fight. I still don't think Kuvira is supposed to be a huge physical threat herself. Like as an individual figure, she's not this super physical threat. It's about the larger ideas she's pushing, and how Korra doesn't know how the Avatar can be relevant and actually do something to fix these issues.

I just hope they don't make Kuvira super human, by fusing her with Spirit Vines. I can already seeing them do that shit. Unalaq with his Kaiju Dark Avatar non-sense. Zaheer and his ability to become superman. I'm thinking they will have Kuvira morph into something ridiculous for the series finale, because you know...they need that threat. lool

She finds Varricks magnet Iron Man suit...or spirit vine enhanced Super Soldier Serum, then she'll turn into Red Skull.

If you guys had the chance to switch the order of the villains around, would you or would you keep everything the same?

just an example:
Season 1: Zaheer/Red Lotus
Season 2: Kuvira
Season 3: Amon
Season 4: Vaatu/Unalaq

Season 1: Zaheer
Season 2: Kuvira
Season 3 and 4: Amon with another backstory and then joined by the Red Lotus

Vaatu can go die and so can Unalaq

lol. sigh. I really expect this though. I mean, they can't resist NOT having a super physical threat for the Avatar.

That's a tough one. I just know that, Unalaq and Harmonic Convergence should have been the series ender -- NOT Book 2. Also, Unalaq in general is a terrible villain. Would have liked it more if, after Amon's movement failed, he went to the spirit portals to try to take advantage of Harmonic Convergence to try to do his plan. Not sure how logistically that would have worked.

Maybe that wouldn't be a good idea either. I just know, Unalaq as a character is terrible. Everything down to his design. So I wish he just wasn't there at all. But in terms of where he should have been in the series, definitely Book 4.

She won't go full Hitler. I'm sure she will be a combination of Hitler with Stalin and/or cold war vibes. She'll have the spirit vine nukes and threaten the world with them. She will eventually go power crazy and want to take more lands for the earth nation and threaten them with the nukes. I'm sure the final episode of Legend of Korra will be Korra sacrificing herself against a nuclear bomb in the avatar state.

SUPERMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN

"Der Avatar behauptet, das Erdbändiger Volk wehrt sich gegen die totalen Kriegsmaßnahmen der Regierung. Es will nicht den totalen Krieg, sagt der Avatar, sondern die Kapitulation. Ich frage euch: Wollt ihr den totalen Krieg? Wollt ihr ihn, wenn nötig, totaler und radikaler, als wir ihn uns heute überhaupt erst vorstellen können?"

I don't know what the fuck this means but I'd die laughing if this actually happened.

lol...won't go full Hitler.

You never go full Hitler. Fire Lord Ozai? Ruthless man. Pretended that his cause was just when he was just power hungry. Put people to work on camps. But did he kill people because of a mistaken belief that everything was their fault? No. He didn't go Full Hitler.

Season 1: Zaheer/Red Lotus
Season 2: Kuvira
Season 3: Amon
Season 4: Vaatu/Unalaq

i like that order but i wouldnt have Kuvira get a season all to herself. she'd be one of the main characters starting in season 2 building up her earth kingdom and being at odds w/ Korra. in the end she'd team up w/ Korra to beat Vaatu/Unalaq. still no full face turn though.

S1: Zaheer
S2: Zaheer/Amon (as Zaheer's shit fades out Amon would come on the scene)
S3: Amon
S4: Vaatu/Unalaq

Please continue to do these.
She's like the powerpuff girl of the big bad guys in history.
However, I do love this analogy.

Since Sony refuses to allow name changes, I just created a second account. New PSN name is: a_azula.

If you already added me, I'm re-adding folks now. If you want to add me now, feel free to.

Weird. I don't even have you as a friend and it's showing me your name and your custom avatar. Is this normal now for PS4 2.0? I always thought it didn't show people's personal pics and names unless you sent a real name request

edit: also if anybody wants to add me on stuff:

PSN: StarkWinterLager
XBL: Tunnel Snake

I might eventually get MCC in xbox but with dragon age coming out it wont be for a while.

It's showing my full name? Lol better check my privacy settings. tsk tsk Sony.

EDIT: Okay, I fixed the settings. I misunderstood the privacy settings. I've changed it now. Thanks for the heads up. I just wanted it so only people that request my name, could get it. I'm cool with that. I think I have it set up now right.

Doesn't show your name in my friends list now that you're added. But when I was searching for you it said "REAL NAME" and then it showed an image of short hair Korra pushing some guy as your profile pic. And it also said a_azula in the bottom of your real name

I see you, Azulaaa.

lol I'm switching back to Xbox One now. What are you up to?

Yeah I changed my settings now. I think they are set so that, friends can now request my name if they ask for it. So we should be good. I appreciate the heads up though.

EDIT: your xbox live name is fantastic. going to add you now.

Sent you a request a few days ago with a message saying who I was. I'll add you again though.
