I was going to pass in this game, not a big fan of DA *Only played 2 for a while and it was just "OK" to me* and didn't follow this games news at all. I read the OT last night and it has me hooked, I've been looking up footage all day, I think bioware has another customer. I have one question, if DA: Inquisition was a pie how would you divide the genres it has. This has a bit of Tactical and RpG in it, I kinda wanna know what I'm getting into, cause the combat system still confuses me a bit, even though I've played 2.

What stood out for me combat wise in DA:O (and I know it has been streamlined but it's more DA:O than DA2) was I could play it in realtime 3rd person with my most used bound to my mouse and it was like an arcade game, playable with any class in your party or I could pause it, hit tactical view and play it out like a game of chess and make a 10 second unwinnable into a thirty minute sweet sweet victory. I just let myself get wrapped up in the story and it was joyous start to finish. Inquisition looks to have given the player the option to play like this again (and believe me shit mountain hurt after Origins) so I am set to get back into it all over again :D

Nah, it's tan alert at best. One persons opinions flying the face of everything I've heard about the game (minor niggles and no healer aside) smacks of click bait to me. Even if it's not, you can't please all the people all the time. I'm gonna love the shit out of DA:I.

You are right. I won't let this stop be from playing this day 1. I am excited about the crafting of this game and I can see myself spending at least 100+ hrs on this universe.

Great OT...looking forward to tomorrow, not sure what I will play but besides the obvious story reasons, you can switch to anyone on the fly in combat right ? so I could be a Warrior but play as a Mage during combat if I want...?

Yes, you can choose freely when in combat from the four characters in the party.

god baby. I'm playing through Dragon Age:Origins right now and fucking Superman just landed on the planet. WTF?

Yep, mostly. You control one individual party member at the time, but each of them has their own class and abilities. You will still need to control your character during cutscenes and dialog, though.

So, I hate to be that guy, but, does anyone have the specialization screen shots or that can link me to where I can check them out?

Ok, it's zero hour for pre-loading now. I need to know how the PS4 version looks/performs compared to PC. Really I'm just concerned about temporal aliasing aka "pixel crawl." Shit bugs me.

Anywhere to get this info?

Some reviewers said it's not very "new players friendly" as DA:O explains ALL the lore of that world and DA2 explains the "why" DA:I happens.
If that was his main complain, it would be a very much valid one. But I feel that those that do like to dwelve into the Lore/story background, will likely do their research on their own, while the rest won't care that much.
It's a Skyrim without flow. Feels like a boring MMO.
This on the other hand, would not.

Personally don't care about numbers. Think I have an idea on what elements DA:I will be lacking (cheesy dialogue, reduced AI behavior control, inquiring dialogue options will cause to skip other important ones, lack of storage, being unable to change your face, some boring side quests, poor main story, bugs). And with the exception of the dialogue issue, I'm for the most part ok with the rest.

Use a US or Korean VPN and you can preload.

use vpn to start preload, download some mb and turn vpn off
dont close origin or stop the dl

thanks guys!

anyone know what its like when you are playing? can you put origin in an offline mode like steam or do you have to keep vpn on all the time to play? or do I have do use vpn everytime I start up the game?

So my xbox one version says it wants to periodically upload data to dragon age keep...

Its a pipe dream of mine that this means i can import my save (from xbox one) onto my pc correct?

as in...i cant do it.

thanks guys!

There is an Offline option in Origin (where it says Origin in the top left corner). However I don't know if you still get achievements if you're offline.

So, what were the main complains?

I'm reading the whole thing right now but others already posted his complaints.A lame story. Sterile cities, actually there is only one. Only few really good quests. Your decisions have little influence on the main story. But it's just one review and he is known for being very harsh.

That's an odd reason to opt for PC version

Some people got it on Xbox One for early access. Seeing how the PC version can be $40 and hours early well over 6 hours early that seems like a good reason to do so if your PC can run it comfortably.

Awesome OT.

I'm ready as hell!

1 Week vacation. Check.
Preloaded on PS4 and PC. Check.
Inquisition shirt and mug. Check (lol)

Bring it on.

Is the deluxe edition worth the extra $10 over the vanilla version? Getting it for ps4. My pc can run it but i want them trophies. And i also ttade in games.

Looking forward to everyone here complaining 1 minute past the unlock time that it isnt working due to the servers getting hammered.

Indeed
