Yeah, they're even treating this with some suspicion on the Codex, which is slightly unusual given that this is a Bioware game and they usually take any excuse to crap on Bioware a bit more (unless it's BG1) ;p. Anyway, I have my DAI installed on my SSD, I'll let you all know if I have any significant issues. Really hope not, obviously. Will be very unhappy if it ends up being true.

DAO: Female human S&S warrior, all companions recruited and alive, made peace with elves and werewolves, Bhelen on throne and anvil destroyed, Redcliffe safe and kid and his mother alive, sided with Circle, Alistair & Anora on throne together, Loghain alive and father of OGB, Architect alive.
DA2: Female DW rogue, sided with mages, Bethany alive and with circle, Anders alive, Isabela fucked off with book and never came back, Eluvian repaired, sided with Larius.
DAI ?????
I was thinking female dwarf archer/dw, but that seems a bit messy, in terms of consistency with my previous characters (yes, I'm a bit weird about stuff like this). Female Human Mage would be nice and tidy. But I do love rogues ... Aargh.

Oh man, luckily I installed the game in regular HDD.
Not having played the last 2 games is not an issue, since the game will assume you're a newcomer by default.
But whether you'd like DA's style of gameplay is another thing.

Once the game is playable on PC, someone let me and the folks at GAF know if it really has this kind of drive wear, I pre-ordered and downloaded so I don't have much time before my Origin return time is over....

I hope this gets cleared up. I checked EA/Origin's returns page and my game is not eligable for refund via Origin. (I got it via GreenMan Gaming, maybe that's why?)
No, no source has been provided. Also, it's very vague. Exactly what tools are being used to get this information? And where are all the reports of failed/failing SSDs as a result of playing LoTF/FIFA? 4-8 hr sessions are pretty standard for gaming, you'd imagine a crapton of problems would have been reported by now, no some random post from some random guy that/who no-one can verify ...
Just skip straight into DAI ones if you don't have other performance issues in general, which I doubt.

Should run it just fine as long you are ok with High settings.
Maybe my sentence structure sucks, wouldn't be first time, but I doubt you have general issues like videoplayback corruption, driver crashes for no apparent reason etc.
Makes sense really. If you aren't familiar with previous games you really don't know those things so "canon version" is good way to go imo.
Interesting, when does said customization occur?

I hurt my back last night and it's killing me today. I certainly don't want to lie in order to take tomorrow off work, but being in pain does seem like a good excuse to lay on the couch all day and play.
According to a reviewer roughly 20-45 hours into the game, so about 1/3.
