heh this entire page of comments made me go watch this amv again (slightly Not safe for work)

Personally I am rooting for everyone of the characters ending up alone. Korra dies in the final battle, Asami focuses on work and never settles down. Mako ends up a slave to the prince and never has a chance to date... and bolin and Varrick just go on adventures for the rest of their life never settling down, with Zhu Li assisting them after returns to his side now that threat to him is gone and she doesn't have to pretend to have switched sides in order to protect him.
Are you and I the same person? I was just thinking last night as I drifted off to sleep, "I hope everyone in LOK dies or ends up alone..."

They were having fun at the expense of Zutara fans, I don't see why they wouldn't do it again. If they really wanted Korrasami to happen, or a gay relationship for that matter, there are other methods. It's not like children cartoon/films can't have a gay side character. ParaNorman had a gay side character that wasn't a stereotype. Even a recent show in Cartoon Network had a gay couple in the background of a current tv show. CN didn't allow them to kiss in the mouth, but they pecked each other on the cheek and walked hand in hand.

The few scenes we've seen are things that can be read as multiple ways. The lines, like Asami's line to Korra in the S3 finale, seemed almost too much of a tease in a series about two girls who at one point fought over the same hunk of a man.

Emphasis on "in the background" and "side character".

I feel like it will be a long time before we actually get a protagonist who is gay. We'd be lucky if we got a Sailor Uranus/Neptune style deal where they don't kiss but have every indication that they are definitely together.

Saw this on tumblr :lol

Well in ParaNorman at least it was one of the main cast.

I honestly never expected the next Avatar competing with the likes of Kuruk for worst Avatar.

:trollface

Avatar Wiki said:
Kuruk spent most of his days searching both the physical and Spirit World for worthy opponents to challenge in bending contests, usually for no reason other than entertainment and pleasure.[2] He also liked to show off grand displays of his bending ability to others, especially beautiful women. Kuruk airbent lotus tornadoes for young Air Nomad nuns, would challenge random Fire Nation citizens to an Agni Kai, and engaged in earth-lifting contests with earthbenders.[3] His strength in sparring matches was considered legendary, and no bender was ever able to trump his abilities

Kuruk >>>>>>>>> Korra

On the low, Korra is kind of the best avatar ever.

The first avatar to completely defeat Vaatu.

The first metalbending avatar ever.

The second avatar to ever energybend.

The only avatar to open the spirit portals.

Has thwarted three major crises, and will presumably do so for a fourth, all before she turns 21.

Also about to bag a hot genius CEO.

Balance. Bow down.

Nice edit.

She didn't defeat Vaatu completely. He will return again.

Opening the portals was the reason for three of the four crises. That's american logic.

So what you are saying is that she is so bad, she had to manufacture multiple crises because of her Avatar complex?

She did defeat him completely (with wrestling moves and five-finger exploding heart techniques to boot). Wan just locked him in the Tree of Time. Advantage Korra.

Progress always has a few bumps along the way. She's bringing balance to the world.

Don't forget Korra helped to restore the Air Nomads' culture.

Indeed. She has brought an entire people back from the brink of extinction. Is there any end to her glory?

Correction a random deus ex machina defeats her enemies.
At the end of the day, it's her Deus Ex Machina's and she may not have asked for them, but she got them anyway. All credit goes to Korra.

What you're saying is to start fires in the hope that the ashes of the world bring a phoenix? That's some R'as Al Ghul stuff.

She certainly didn't plan it. That was plot convenience.

Mission accomplished indeed. I don't see anyone else defeating the literal essence of darkness and pure evil. Wan, the simple fool, did the best he could at the time. And indeed, he was the beginning of an era: the dawn of the Avatar Cycle. But Korra is the first avatar to undo his grave mistakes. Man's civilization has been brought up nearly cut off from the spiritual side of the world due to Wan's lack of foresight. That wound has festered for ten millennium, until Korra did all that was necessary to make the world whole once more.

Now the universe can go forward in harmony, because Korra deemed it so. All the fallout thereof are the musings and whims of weaker willed people. The Kuvira's and Zaheer's of the world are predictable, yet necessary, eventualities that arise when extreme progress must be made. Does a wound improperly healed not become inflamed, perhaps bleed, when it is properly addressed? These villains are the inherent, weak agents of scabbed blood that must be purged so that true healing and growth can begin anew. And Korra is the arbiter of that cause, in all her glory.

Korra sux

Korra was succesful in making the world not rely on the avatar any longer, but on it's own two feet.

She killed the world's dependency on a spiritual crutch. she is thematically the greatest avatar in existence because she no longer gave them a spiritual fish a day, but taught them how to fish.

she essentially destroyed her self, her very nature for the good of the world. what a self-less avatar!

The infamous Zaheerforthepeople is back with some more stuff.

Zaheer Remembers
Three years.

Three years untethered, drifting. They think this cavern of stone a prison. As if they could ever imprison me. I alone understood Guru Laghima’s teachings. I alone entered the void, the only airbender to ever follow in his footsteps.

Heh, footsteps.

The crystals here are full of beauty. Their glow is unwavering. Embedded in the walls and ceiling, taunting me, teasing. They will be trapped in here like me, forever, yet their purpose is fulfilled. They will always stay, and I can never leave. They light my days and my nights in ceaseless, endless—

Footsteps.

I hear footsteps. Time plays tricks here but this is not the time. Not the time. Feeding time was fifty water-drips ago. Something… something has changed.

Who is it?

I wonder how the fanbase would feel about Bolin, Mako and Asami talking about the past and Mako admitting he was a jerk and immature for his actions. (in regards to the season 1 romance everyone hated him for)

Man, why couldn't it have been Mako, Bolin and Varrick as the key players. Mako could be a perfect wet blanket, straight man foil to the best thing the season has.

Korra ruining everything like always.

Hmm what could this mean heh. Still more Varrick is always nice.

Nick Twitter

More Varrick automatically means more Bolin as they probably only reach Republic City this episode if at all. I assume they do reach it considering that they got on a vehicle last episode. Maybe they're on the boat on the way there and Varrick tells Bolin his life story.

They mentioned some of the key players, that doesn't automatically mean that Bolin won't be in it.

Time to win my Zaheer bet.

This is probably the make-or-break episode for the romance endgame, too. Lotta people have stake in that fallout, gonna be interesting if nothing else to see which way the wind blows. Mako obviously has Korra on the mind.

GUYS

Or Hamlet.

Is there a petition out there to get Nick to release the soundtracks?

I remember there being one when the first Transformers movie came out, and it worked. Maybe the same can happen here? We can count on the tumblr fanbase for this, right?

We don't need homophobs anyways, right.

Eh. Just making people uncomfortable to come into a thread and seeing sexy kuvira or images to the next degree of fan fiction. It doesn't happen too often. But I think it was Veelk who said it reminded him of the weird incest gravity falls gif and I have to agree now.

So you're saying that incest keeps Veelk out of threads? Noted.
