I still want Barry and Felicity to get together :(

That will never happen tho lol
The funny thing is that every one already got a love interest from the comics, which I think they won't break in the long run. Which means Felitcy is gonna be everybodys love interest until their real love interest comes along and Felicity goes to the next.

Basically she is the introduction rite for the Justice League.

No they've been building nothing. All it ever was was them looking at each other sometimes, and Felicity's comedy relief/innuendos. Then Suddenly Oliver is like "I love you"
It's garbage

The transition from flirting to melodrama was way too abrupt for me to think that it was planned. Every time it happens it stands out as much as one of Roy's flips.
I don't agree. All the signs have been there. I'm not saying they've been doing a great job of portraying it, but it's not some sudden development by a long shot.

Felicity's constant mooning? The longing glares? The initial distrust by Felicity of all of Ollie's other female companions? The extremely protective behavior they show for each other?

They practically gave us a PowerPoint presentation during the S2 finale.

People glare at each other all the time. It just means "they're attractive" not "omg I love him/her, true otp"
You could make a point for Felicity being protective because she has always shown interest in Ollie, but you can't make one for him. He practically had intimate eye fucking with Roy last week. He's protective of everyone
S2 Finale was a fake-out and should have stayed that way.

Do you remember the scene on the beach after they locked up Slade? I'm not sure it could be more straightforward without them plainly stating it.

Also, consider the fact that every female character Ollie has let into his "inner circle" has had some element of romantic entanglement with him, except for Nyssa which wasn't his choice. (Plus, she's a lesbian.) I don't think Ollie "recruited" Felicity with the intent of falling for her, but I really don't know how someone can say that they haven't been hinting at it for a loooooooooooong time. It started out as breadcrumbs, but now they're giving us the whole damn loaf.

As for Roy (And Diggle. And Tommy.), that's a whole other subject. Most of that is unintentionally homoerotic, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of it was purposely gaybaiting. (Not in a malicious way, but it's definitely a factor.)

It's fairly difficult to make a breadcrumbs point though when Ollie has sexual tension with everyone but his mother.

I don't disagree about the sexual tension thing, and I've also made frequent reference to Ollie's sex stares that he tends to share with everyone.

But the Felicity thing isn't some accident that we've recently stumbled into. Once they decided to keep her character alive, they started planting the seeds. It was mostly incidental in season 1 (to give them options, I suppose), but I think once we got into the swing of season 2, it was very much being done with a purpose.

I think we could make an argument against that.

I'm pretty sure that Ollie and Felicity isn't happening, especially since the writers have already said that Ollie and Laurel are the endgame romance.

Not sure how that'll work given the toxicity of their relationship and all the shit that's happened to them.

Felicity dies and takes one for the team to bring them together

Enjoying the show and am a huge Amell fan. Still, I wish it had less characters. Also, is there any significance at all behind the long-haired DJ in the last episode?

He's gonna make out with Willa Holland while Radioactive plays from my stereo as I stare on at the screen.

they just have random actors from previous cw shows sitting around on standby they gotta employ. dude was on carrie diaries and before that life unexpected...why do i know this?!

So I have no sympathy for Ollie at all, Felicity is much better off with Ray and he's grown on me with how legitimately nice he is.

I don't have sympathy for Ollie but Felicity and Ray is a terrible idea. From his introduction he's manipulated her and now we know he's straight up lied to her as well. Felicity and Barry is the most genuine connection but we all know that won't happen, so let Felicity chill on her own for awhile.

I didn't realize how much I missed all of the Radioactive moments from the first season until now. I'll take 0 Roy flips this episode for a Radioactive voyeur scene. I find it kind of weird that they are somewhat ignoring the Barry/Felicity thing.

Captain Atom normally isn't in a suit in the comics right? I guess it would fit better for Arrow's tone better if it was a suit. Not to mention the special affects that would be required if it wasn't.

Hell yes for Captain Boomerang as well. He's going to be fun.

Yeah, Ray seems like an awesome dude. Can't wait to see him in the ATOM suit. I'm pretty sure he's trying to turn himself into some kind of superhero for some insane reason.

He deserves the crazy bitch from last night..

Man, I'd kill to see Arrow and Cupid go at it...

... in the bedroom. I wonder if they'd ever make her somewhat stable. Have her join Team Arrow.

But then again, she killed two guys, LAUREL SHE MURDERED TWO MEN. MURDERED THEM WITH ARROWS. THEY'RE DEAD. CAUSE SHE KILLED THEM. DID I MENTION THAT SHE MURDERED TWO MEN?

Now I'm imaging the Carl meme (Walking Dead) but with Ollie and Laurel instead

I think this is my biggest issue with the show, both this season and last. I don't know how well this reflects on my personality, but I liked Oliver way more when he was playing the dumb-blonde billionaire by day, vigilante killer by night. Ever since he's decided to stop killing, the Arrow comes off far more helpless than in control; he feels weaker, seems to get beaten more often or give up more, and makes far more wrong decisions than he used to.

I don't know how or if all that correlates to Oliver deciding not to kill anymore (though fwiw I thought Ollie's best moment in S2 was killing Vertigo), but he just hasn't felt like he's had his shit together in a long time. I was totally on Laurel's side when she called out his bullshit over letting Merlyn go.

it's the Atom, not Captain Atom. Captain Atom would fit better on the Flash though.
but to answer the question, Ray Palmer usually does have a suit actually.

Oh, I totally forgot that Atom and Captain Atom are two entirely different characters. Whoops. Ok, this makes much more sense.

just saw midseason finale title and brief description, shit's about to get real.

Have you solved the mystery yet Ollie?
IT WAS ME OLIVER. IT WAS ME ALL ALONG, OLIVER
*cue Ra's killing everyone in Starling while singing its the best of both worlds*

i thought it was all the girls' fault but i think oliver just has shit chemistry with everybody. even him and sara seemed off when they weren't on the streets.

They opened the door to metahumans showing up in Arrow. Unless Starling has some magical forcefield, one is going to get in, hence crossovers.

TBH I would rather have Captain Atom than Atom, but whatever works.

At least this season is finally picking up. I don't even remember what happened in the last two episodes they were so off the mark. Something about pretty boy Wildcat and things, Roy flips.... I'm lost outside of that.
