okay. just did 4 player online. wasn't smooth. was laggy. but there were times it was smooth though. but it didn't feel like a slide show throughout the match which is a plus. will wait for the lan adapter and see how that is. hopefully others consider it.

Because I don't own a Wii U but have the urge to go win a Smash Bros tournament at a Gamestop.

Here are the first couple 1v1s I played online.

No input lag it seemed, but the second pair I'm uploading had quite a bit of delay. I'll cross my fingers and blame it on the mass of people signing on. Anywho, I'm off to bed but add me from the doc and we can smash it up tomorrow!

Hmm. Online seems a bit spotty. I've played 4 For Fun matches, and each one had moments of slowdown and occasional pausing. Not unplayable, but less than ideal.

My ethernet adapter won't be here until Saturday, so I'll just have to deal for now.

That's why I urge people to get LAN adapter because it might make it easier for everyone. Almost all of my friends have LAN Adapter because I always encouraging them to get it ever since Brawl.

I can't wait to give online mode a shot with my friends first and see how bad it is.

Almost all of his attacks got small buffs in damage and knockback, f-air has less lag, his two hit Smashes connect better, and the weaknesses of Buster and Speed were lowered by a good amount.

I bought a $5 LAN adapter from Amazon. Starting playing online the second the game came out with 2 more of my friends and it has been working FLAWLESSLY so far. I'm very impressed.

Extremely jealous of all you folks who are sitting down to play Smash Bros. right now. I'm travelling overseas and (obviously) don't have my Wii U with me, so having the ability to play it is a long time off.

Got this from the Player's Guide. The rest of the stages are tied to characters, or events, except Paz-Land, which is playing all 3 Smash Tour maps.

No, synchronized netcode like this is always peer-to-peer. Dedicated servers add no benefits for this type of connection. All they would do is add input lag.
