The game has over a full second of input lag in every match I have played. I can't remember that last time anything even close to that happened.

Unable to test packet loss. Enable java/update java, see if you have packet loss.

Considering only a handful of people are experiencing it, it's almost certainly some interaction between your router and the game.

I'm sure that problematic router settings will be determined in the next few days and guides for fixing the lag will pop up.

Sorry for your tech problems, though!

I found online pretty good so far. Touches of lag but no where near as bad as 3DS and I'm on the same network. But again, even that was hit or miss...so many factors to consider. Like any online game.

I'm loving how this game feels on a big screen and with a proper controller. My Yoshi egg throw flubs have reduced considerably!

man I'm really not feeling this on the gamepad. fucking bundle and adaptor is sold out everywhere. frustrating. why can't stuff be in stock @_@

So freaking looking forward for updated reviews with online MP from those websites that hold to give it a score until they test it. So far the impressions are positive but also some find it very laggy still. Time to buy dat LAN adapter myself I guess. Any 3rd Party LAN adapter will work just fine right???

Wifi or no Wifi?

Hey friends. I'll be playing Smash all day, like you of course, but if you're taking a break, I'd be thrilled if you stopped in at my website 6am Games Machine and checked out my Smash Bros. comic ' Super Smashed with U.

The third comic went up today and of course, there's a new one every Friday.
There are no ads or anything, so I'm not trying to be sneaky. In honor of Smash Day, I'm looking to share this with a few more people.

Here's the second comic from last week:

Check out the new comic won't you? Thank you!

Cap Falcon is same as ever, still just as powerful and speedy. Ganondorf is slow and can't jump that great but hits like an absolute truck, his SideB and UpB latch on to people fast and easy, and the wizard's foot bulldozes people. He's better than he ever was.

Ganon is better than in Melee? Really?

Terminology heads-up: it isn't a LAN just because there's a wire. You're still connecting to the server, and there's nothing "local" about that.

"Ethernet" or "wired" is probably more accurate.

Thank you. I saw the word LAN and my heart stopped. I bemoan the lack of LAN play in modern games.

most of us probably know that, we're just using it by convention.

So why are Miis greyed out for the transfer? I can't transfer my Mii fighters from 3DS to Wii U? And how do I transfer over all the stats and upgrades I got on 3DS?

Preliminary impressions if anyone is interested..

I think this game is fantastic especially in terms of content(which is incredible). Even technically it's superb 1080p/60fps. I'd definitely wouldn't consider this as my favorite wii u game let alone the my favorite wii u game of this year. Great game if you have lots of people to play with or if you want to get into it competitively. Since I've played the series since 1999 and have played the previous games for hours on end I guess it doesn't do much for me, it's sort of like when I played X but this is way better than that

I'd rank it below bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3 and Mario Kart in terms of my favorite wii u games that I own. It's odd because I've played mario kart franchise longer but mario kart 8 is just so good.

At least you can appreciate all the love Pikmin got in this game!

Just came to post this. Can't you also transfer unlockables?

what??
I managed to transfer all my Mii created fighters with no hassle.
took a while to "load them" in the selection screen, and while it was loading, it was greyed out.

Maybe you need to create a mii first? Weird. I don't want to transfer anything from 3DS, especially since you can't alter it once it's transferred.

You're gonna love this awesome little console, seriously. Huge props for getting Mario 3D World. That games is just spectactular <3

First impressions:

- Console is really tiny, hate the power brick

- Gamepad is surprisingly comfortable and light, screen is pretty nice too

- Wii U Pro controller is sex for the hands. I really like the analogues, buttons, shape, everything. SO happy I got this instead of a gamecube controller.

- Updating the system now with my Mario 3D World disc

I hope I can bypass using the gamepad for the most part. I should be able to play Mario and Kong with just the Pro controller right?

I ordered this through Toys R Us online because they were offering a free Amiibo with it but it won't be coming for 7-10 days. I'm seriously considering going across the street and picking it up at Walmart and then just returning the Toys R Us copy to Walmart when I get that in the mail.

I shouldn't have a problem doing this as long as I hold onto the receipt right?

3D World does actually require the GamePad a couple of times I believe. There's some touch screen mechanics that aren't used very often, but they are there.

Super good art and the joke is so darkly bizarre. I like it a whole lot!

Yeah. You can turn off the screen of the gamepad if you're using other controllers by going to controller settings. Some games require them though, like W101.

Edit: forgot 3DW. I think you may need it for some touch screen puzzles.

If there were a way to charge the Wii U Pro Controller without batteries, I think I would use that instead of the Gamecube Controller. I just know I am going to play this game so much, and I HATE CHANGING BATTERIES. >:-O
