With all those rumors that it's been moved from the vita to a full ps4 game, if true at all, they would be reworking it to take advantage of higher possible assets, we might not see it till E3 (that is if that rumor has any credibility or if it still exists)

Should have expressed myself more clearly by writing something like "remind us it exists by showing the fucking game!" instead. I know they're working on it, but you'd never know it what with the year plus no-show since that teaser trailer.

Im guessing Silent Hills wont be there, but hopefully Phantom Pain will be. I wonder how much japanese stuff will be there. would love to see some persona 5, type-0/FFXV, and whatever capcom is up to

Cannot help but see Japanese developers being really worried about the future of consoles thanks to the current state of the industry in Japan. Sony could be trying to use PS4'S success abroad to appeal to those developers (especially those that do not want to switch to phones) and say "These fans still want Final Fantasy XV, and Metal Gear Solid V, and whatever AAA Japanese game you want to make."
We don't even have a MGS V release date yet.
And then you have Silent Hills as well.

But over a year since we've seen any footage is what I'm saying. I'm still pissed off that Sony haven't show or told us anything substantial about the game since that teaser.
You won't be when it's shown off for PS4.

On the newly released Blogcast episode they mentioned there'll be an opening keynote for the whole event where the first 5500 people who buy a ticket will be able to attend. It's mentioned at 16:50'ish into the podcast.

Well, it is celebrating the Playstation 20th Anniversary and that seems like a perfect place to re announce the triumphant return of Team Ico.
But going by development on The Last Guardian, better make it the Playstation 40th Anniversary for a reveal.

No opening press conference a la E3? Boo. Was looking forward to staying up and watching it. Will have to make do with The Game Awards, I guess.

There will be an opening keynote, in which new game announcements are confirmed to be made. If anything it will be like an E3 conforence minus the corporate speak.
The magnitude of the announcements is a question mark, but it's safe to assume at least an Uncharted 4 gameplay trailer. That in itself is pretty great.
How have you managed to convince yourself it'll be minus the corporate speak? I fully expect a bunch of chest thumping of worldwide numbers following Black Friday. Then some completely overt digs at the competition in a borderline tactless manner, but without ever going over the line. There will probably be at least one chart to show PS dominance compared to all challengers over the years.

E3 is actually a more corporate show where that stuff is relevant. This is just a fan service show
at most they will say " 20 million shipped " or something like that, but you wont hear more then 2 minutes on it and a thank you to the player base. And then a " and to the 20 million players, this is what you have to look forward to " and then onto the games

Of course they will mention something about the great year the PS4 is having, this is a celebration after all. I welcome the numbers too, if they're so inclined to provide them.
But you can confirm The Last Guardian is playable and releasing next summer I gather? Cool, cool.
