Anyone running with the GC adapter + LAN adapter + HDD w/Y cable?

I got the physical version so I just unplug my HDD but I might get a digital copy for the convenience. Any recommendations on hubs?

Yes, my Wii U looks like its in an ICU with all the cords going into it now.

Anyone want to play a few 1v1? ID is in profile.

I bought this game today. Got four of these Amiibo figures and a gamecube controller. I've played a little of Brawl but nothing else in the Smash series. Where's a good place to start. Training?

Just play a bunch of Classic on 4.0 or so. You have to beat it with everyone if you want all the trophies anyway.

This feels like a more worthy successor to Melee than Brawl ever did. Quick question: what is omega mode on the level select all about?

I am completely confused, and can't find the answer in the manual or any site. I know this supports off-TV play but can't find out how. Can someone please help?
Odd question. The game is always using the game pad as a display. Just don't turn on the tv.

Man I am not very good!
Level 4 classic, barely snuck by master and crazy hands. Then beat Falco with like 85%.
Just mistiming a lot of things, especially in air/down airs

just watch the "how to play" video in the vault/videos... and then play random "Smash" games against low levels cpu characters. =)

Finally sat down to play this! So freaking good. Definitely feels speedier and snappier than Brawl. Greninja seems to be an early favorite so far.

Heading over to a friend's house tonight to try out the multiplayer. Enjoy the game, everyone!

Just picked up my Smash bundle and installed the update!

If anyone wants to play online, shoot me a friend request. My NNID is DemonFang343. Thanks.

This is not a dig at you, please don't take it as one. But it blows my mind when people aren't aware of content we have been aware of for a year and has been discussed and advertised so heavily, as well as obviously being present in the 3DS game. It's a pretty serious reality check that us PotD junkies and Direct combers are a closed ecosystem of intense fandom. The information we have been consuming and discussing on a daily basis for three years is still totally unknown to most of the people who are buying this game.

It makes me feel like an expert and a huge loser simultaneously.

Omega Mode is Final Destination version of stages. No platforms or hazards.

Goddamn, Target, EB, Toys r us, Walmart, best buy, future shop.... Nobody has the damn adaptor in stock :(

Anybody in Montreal selling there?

One thing I miss from the 3DS version: Being able to reset positioning and damage in training mode pretty quickly using the touch screen.

Soon.... Soon....

I have to say, I'm amazed my 12 year old Wavebird is still in surprisingly good condition after all the GC games, melee and Brawl.

God bless Nintendo's indestructible hardware.

Apparently every mode except regular offline smash works fine. For regular offline smash, I only see the character cards, percents, and stocks (like you would see on the bottom of a 3ds screen).

Ive been here about an hour adjusting all the music to the stages. So much fun. Listening to all these tunes is great. On fzero stage Big Blue will play VERY often! :D

I am scumming out the spectator mode so much. Since everything is so diaper fresh, every wager returns x10 what you put in. I've already gotten over 200000 coins!

Here's a question: With the adapter, there's two USB cables. Do both of those HAVE to be plugged in? Or would plugging in one cable power 1p and 2p controllers? I only have one USB port left...
Alternatively, does it draw so much power that the Ethernet adapter wouldn't work with it on an unpowered hub?

How fun is the game if I don't have any friends to play with..? I'm interested in getting it, but I'm afraid the fun comes mostly from local multi...

Thanks

There is online, but there is plenty to do with a single person even more then a lot of single player only games

8 player smash. My God. 2v2v2v2 is fucking amazing. Online is as good as can be expected. Stage builder is vastly improved. A huge variety of character types that put other fighting games to shame. i could not ask for more.
