Oh man, I'm so sorry, Omnicent! I didn't see your friend request until just now. I thought the Wii U would have given me some sort of notification or something without having to quit out of the game.
Magicant is only in the 3DS version I think. I don't know of a Mother stage besides the returning town stage in the Wii U version, unless that huge Brawl stage returns.
Ness is in. He has a Mr. Saturn shirt. Mr. Saturn is also in. There's a devil car in the 3DS Smash Run, and maybe some Earthbound enemies. So basically 3DS may be more Earthbound-focused if that's your quest.
I have no clue on songs so I'll defer to others.
I wish if there was a way to signal to SmashGAF that I was up for matches. Every time I tried to join a match it was full and every time I hosted a room everyone else was playing For Glory.

That sounds like a reduction of usual Mother content for the mainline game. Fourside was a stage in, um, Brawl or Melee wasn't it? In addition to Onette?
Hm, not really sure what to do with this info. Is it possible Magicant will release in future Smash Wii U DLC?

The key for me was the bottom left corner of the map which always had 2 chests and a few extra food items on the ground.
I made it with 10 seconds to spare after 3 tries, on easy no less. Screw normal and hard, this event was by far the worst.

By far the toughest stage to narrow down. I maxed out Big Blue, Fire Field, Devil's Call in Your Heart, and Shotgun Kiss (rest are off). The most songs I have activated on any stage.

Would anyone be kind enough to post a link to said list?

Try it again? I have no idea. We got 2 KO's in Cruel Smash and immediately got Duck Hunt tonight. We used
Kirby doing down + B to do it.

Well, they definitely were able to highlight the better parts of Other M here- the epic Ridley fight and the lava boss music. It almost makes be want to play through it again. But then I remember. The baby.

Just finished a marathon of Smash. Messed around with pretty much everything. I've gotten all of the characters except Dark Pit. I'm not sure how to get him, but I haven't touched All-Star Mode, so that probably has something to do with it.
I'm not a fan of the 5-8 character battles for Classic Mode. I think they should have been left out of that mode.
And there REALLY needs to be a "Restart" option for Event matches.
Other than those two nitpicky things, I'm loving it so far.
EDIT: Oh yeah Dark Pit explanation two posts above me. I'll go do that real quick.

The "No Mere Sparring Match" event is a goddamn nightmare on hard difficulty. Probably just going to throw in the towel on that one and play it on normal.

I think she's ok. Uair, Bair, and Fair are all solid. I really like her D and F tilts. Charge beam and missiles are always good, and screw attack can be an excellent damage builder.

From an euro who obviously doesn't have the game yet, does anyone know if hitting the ducks in the Duck Hunt stage confers any gameplay advantage? (like in the 3DS Pacman and NSMB2 stages) I know points pop up, the ducks in the counter turn red, and there's a "perfect" message if you get them all, but I have no clue if any of that actually does anything.

It's such a letdown after the much more involving, addictive Smash Run. I'll still play it for the challenges, but not with much anticipation on my part.

little useless rant, I was trying to get a smooth landing item since I knew it was in the game, got only shoes on the 3DS version, I play classic mode for a second time on the Wii U and BAM a badge pops up... gosh
now this is how bacon is supposed to be... smooth landing is too good with marth, I can play him pretty much like in melee, except for his throw options... and other stuff, but still, I like it a lot
edit: and yeah, we just finished a game in smash tour thing, we will never touch that mode ever... it sucks
