SakuraI needs to add all star versus and the warping stamina mode from Project M to this game. That shit is making the wait to play this so much smoother.

I'm unlocking content before friends come over tomorrow, and to get Pac-Land I had to complete Smash Tour on all three boards.

Suffice it to say, I think I've had enough Smash Tour. I literally fell asleep at points.

Yeaaaaaaaaa, Smash Tour is both less interesting and more time consuming.

Guess that's why Smash Tour didn't have as much advertising as Smash Run.

I personally, would've preferred Tower of Smash.

I got rid of all my salt and figured I'd have fun with the game. Ended up unlocking Rob and Mr. game and watch!

Dr. Mario keeps killing me. Fuck him. I don't get why I'm having so much trouble with Mario on higher difficulties.

Managed to clear Classic on 6.0 with Robin. I think her and Rosalina are my two mains.

Still haven't tried everyone. I will also say the first character I ever used in this game was Mario and I already knew from the get-go he would suck.

Damn all you lucky ducks! Can't wait to quack my pants in some NEOGAF tournaments when I get my Wii U.

I have been checking out some streams, while also avoiding certain content I wanna experience in person, and goddam dilly, this game is purty. The animation difference between the Wii U game and the 3DS game is like going from Street Fighter II (TG-16) to Street Fighter II (Arcade). Black November just needs to get blacker and I can settle it in smash.

I played a ton today, I'm really trying to get good with Shulk and Palutena, and at least with Shulk it's going pretty well.

I'm a monster with Mario, Dedede, and Olimar but I've played as them for so many years already that I need some new mains.

Pac Man is so wacky to play with. Megaman...I still really like him from 3DS, but it feels like you're being attack spammy. But then again, everyone plays like you'd expect them to, and Megaman should shoot alot.

It must be an alternate unlock condition then, because I can confirm all of those requirements.

Oh wait, I think I messed up.

Because on the 3DS I had to face him RIGHT AFTER the 100-Man Smash.

On the Wii U I did the 100-Man Smash and then a Classic Mode to face him, so maybe that's it. :P

Great games Flux, but I gotta run! Your Sonic is as beast as I remember! We'll have to play again when I get a new GCN adapter haha.

Oh hey, I was about to leave there as well. GGs. I think I've faced you in the 3DS version as well, shortly after that came out. (Edit: Ah, so I did.)

Your Mega Man's still crazy. I have to play SO patient against him or I can't compete. I hate your drill thing, too. Heh, as you probably noticed, I started just hanging on to it so you couldn't throw it at me anymore.

I'm not even sure where to find Cruel Smash. Ugh. I also just kinda wanna unlock stages at this point, because I know I'll unlock the other characters eventually.

Just unlocked falco and duck hunt, liking the way palutena plays but it just doesnt feel right without a gamecube controller

Cap Falcon is better than the last game?

I'm having great luck him as my main. Uair juggles are beastly, Bair is godlike (I gimp with it for days), and fresh F-B kills most characters around 100-110%. His speed helps him keep up with opponents and his ground game is decent with moves like Dtilt. I really neglect Nair though, and need to incorporate it into my game more.

After switching the Pro Controller L/ZL and R/ZR buttons to match the classic GameCube layout, I'm actually kind of liking the Pro Controller now.

Also, my Peach Amiibo finally beat me for the first time at level 24. :( I cynically wonder if there's actually any training that can be done, instead of just a CPU that scales up to the normal level 9 (or level 10 if that's unlockable) behind the scenes as it levels up.

For example I've tried spamming crouch randomly, but the Amiibo never seems to do that. I haven't fed any equipment since I feel like it's kind of cheating to artifically power up certain stats. :P

His tilts seem a lot more useful now. I'd occasionally use his utilt before but that was about it, now both utilt and dtilt seem to have a lot of utility. Not sure about forward.

His aerials are all great though, been a defining characteristic since 64. (Poor Brawl Falcon, though)

Ftilt really seems like a poor man's Dtilt. Do you have luck with Utilt? I never use it.

Also love how Falcon Kick is the ultimate "fuck you" move when you and the opponent are rolling around trying to gain positioning. Eats rolls all day.

Just played some online for the first time... Man, this game is great. Little Mac feels like heaven.

I also ran into Maximilian (Dood) in For Fun mode. Wasn't sure it was him at first, but I checked his livestream and there I was. My terrible Little Mac is now immortalized on Twitch. Awesome.

little useless rant, I was trying to get a smooth landing item since I knew it was in the game, got only shoes on the 3DS version, I play classic mode for a second time on the Wii U and BAM a badge pops up... gosh

now this is how bacon is supposed to be... smooth landing is too good with marth, I can play him pretty much like in melee, except for his throw options... and other stuff, but still, I like it a lot

edit: and yeah, we just finished a game in smash tour thing, we will never touch that mode ever... it sucks

That smooth lander struggle is real man

Utilt has a meteor hitbox, so you can get some easy KOs from the stage on recovering opponents if they don't sweet spot the edge. Also bounces opponents off the ground, techable, but if they don't tech it sets up for easy air combos.

Basing this on the 3DS game though, didn't play it all that much either. Hopefully my bundle shows up today.

7.5 hours is enough for today.

I came across some "tough" people online today. A Little Mac that was hard to beat, but after like 14 matches, I believe it came out even. There was a Samus that dominated name, and they were quite annoying as I couldn't get to them :( A Zelda just now that would only grab, Up-B, Side-B, and dodge, pretty much. Some others that I am forgetting, but I do much better at the game when I don't get angry, same with Mario Kart xD.

Yo, the starfox stage is based off my favorite level in starfox assault.

yooooooooooooo

looks so fucking good in HD

I mainly use it for aerials, mostly Uair(you don't waste your second jump) and Dair(you don't fast fall) apply almost the same for rising Dairs

and quick smashes of course

It sounds pretty messed up. Either flick it really fast or set it to attack instead of smash. Hopefully they fix it in a patch.

Hmm. If I want to be better at the game, I should probably use the C-stick? I never touch it.

Yeah i'll probably stick with quick smashes and now that I know that about aerials, those too. They definitely help (quick smash) when you need something to hit in a split second. Bowser Jr (Larry) is so fun to use. Had no idea his Up B worked like that.
