Whats vectoring?

Also does Samus have any good kill moves? I find it ridiculous that I can get opponents to 150% and still struggle to make a clean move that ends them.

dtilt seems to be much weaker in this game than in previous ones, bair seems to be the heavy hitter but is very hard to connect with and the only other reliable one is a fully charged shot (vs a nearly charged shot in previous games) and even then some midweights are able to survive a full blast at 100% like Mario.

screwattack killed in the 3ds version not sure if it kills here. Her up air also can KO.

Ok after the initial wtf am I doing phase. I'm really starting to love this game. Now I gotta settle in on a main. I'm liking Sonic so far, but I haven't played with all the cast yet.

Guess this is it for me today. Online has really been great so far. Out of 50+ online matches, only 4 had problems (dc with shamrock, dc with fg battle, 1 stuttering for fun out of 5 tries, and 1 fg match with huge input lag).

And I kind of got lucky on spectate. 2 wins in a row with x10 multiplier lol. Instant 10k gold right there lol.

Has anybody tried the Stage Builder yet? I think it's terrible.

1) Forcing you to draw everything using the gamepad, requiring a pinpoint precision that the screen isn't capable of
2) When your shape creates a cliff automatically, if you want to made a new shape that connects to where the cliff is, you kind of cant because the cliff edge toggle keeps getting in the way
3) You can't move shapes once you've drawn them. This is REALLY annoying. It forces you to have to draw the exact shape in the exact place perfectly every time, no allowance for adjusting position.
4) You also can't edit shapes once you've drawn them. If you're not happy about how something is turning out, you have to redraw it all over again, no manipulating points and changing sizes.
5) Shapes that overlap do not blend. This leaves the terrain looking jaggy anywhere where shapes intersect.

I really wish Sakurai would allow you to take certain elements or stage hazards from the main levels and use them in custom levels. Also, I wish you could create looping moving stages.

Gahh...why is the toolset so limited!!

Yeah I messed around with it a little last night and was really disappointed. Considering how hyped I was for being able to do stuff with the Gamepad, the tool set they give you for actually creating stages is way, way smaller and way more annoying to use properly than Brawl's was. I made some crazy stages in Brawl and had a lot of fun doing it. In this version, I barely could be satisfied with the test stage.

I think it's because the stylus drawing is too finicky, and everything comes out looking really, really ugly like it was drawn by a five-year old.

My Buddy and I got the same Homerun Score in Versus mode, to the point

I'm hoping they update this so it will just select me by default. I always forget to change it to my profile and it gets annoying.

There is no reason why this shouldn't be addressed. It actually surprises me that with the amount of people who can play this new version of the game simultaneously (4+), that they didn't see it as an issue when there's bound to be varied controller preferences--- not to mention this game promotes the constant hopping in-and-out-of modes. Makes me think this was surely an issue that came up in testing but dealing with it maybe just came down to time. Same with storing your last costume color preferences, a la the 3DS version.

Any decent way to grind out music unlocks ala Brawl custom stages? I imagine it's no longer that easy but I have yet to see any discs drop from all the matches I've played (online and offline)

This actually bothers me with the 3DS version. I like to see them in their vanilla costume when I first select them.

Also anyone have any tips for the fastest way to unlock special moves?

So, is there no way to send 3DS Mii Fighters over to the Wii U? Or am I just missing something super obvious?

EDIT: Just started working. Weird.

Ugh, why does it seems like Nintendo tries to be purposely backwards? I cant pause the game and just quit or get into options and I have to choose my controller setup every single time I play and if I forget I'm SOL. I'm new to Smash but how the hell do yall put up with this? It's backwards.

I would say the online is good, but everyone's kicking my ass so i'm probably not going to enjoy it much since it just depresses me lol

This one guy keeps grabbing me over and over and doing serious damage, I try blocking and rolling to dodge it, well, if I somehow manage react fast enough; its hard for me to recognize when he's going to grab because whenever I notice the grabbing animation its already too late. The animations for some moves are so quick and you need split second reaction times to be able to counter something sometimes. He still manages to do it after every time I attempt to attack him. I think he probably used grab on me more than any other move combined lol, but I really don't know what to do to counter it since he moves so fast. Ugh.

What do you mean by this? I'm able to pause and quit no problem.

As for the controller setup thing... Yea I agree there needs to be a default option so we don't have to select it each time. Hopefully they'll patch that in.

Luckily Nintendo has discovered patching. So if you complain loud and often enough, they'll patch it. Happened with Mario Kart 7.

Get a wired connection

Plugable USB 2.0 to 10/100 Fast Ethernet LAN Wired Network Adapter for Macbook, Chromebook, Windows 8.1 and Earlier, Surface Pro, Wii, Wii U, Linux, and Specific Android Tablets (ASIX AX88772 chipset) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00484IEJS/?tag=neogaf0e-20

It's a damn shame we are forced to buy this for a good connection. I still remember getting the Wii U and being flabbergasted as to how I was supposed to internet with it. WHERES MAH ETHERNET PORT @?

Try a spot-dodge. You do it by using the roll input, but pushing the stick downwards instead of to the left or right.

If someone wants to add me,

wodash23.

My first time owning a Super Smash game, will suck balls, and I have no one in my friends list on WiiU yet so yeah.

Just starting playing, hope it's good!
