Press X when selecting a stage for a flat no-hazard version.

Edit- it actually may be the Y button. I forget which.
hahah Thanks, I'm sure that post sounded like this was my first Smash rodeo, but I was making a point that the design/layout of these stages are great and would be more fun if they just allowed us to turn off stage hazards instead of also making the stages flat.

Final Destination mode is cool, but platforms are cool too :b

Played 7 player smash all night yesterday when friends were over. So much fun and so much chaos. Solid game.

Just wish there was a subspace emissary type mode, that was a blast to play through alongside friends last time.

Does anyone have any approach tips with Yoshi?

I've been finding it difficult to get in close in the For Glory modes. Maybe I've been playing really camp-y players lately but it's been a struggle. With projectile characters like Toon Link, you can usually short hop over the projectile. Short hops in general seem like a good option, but when I get close I often get countered hard, or grabbed. Yoshi's roll is pretty slow and exploitable too. Once I get in and start air combo'ing I can get them on the run, but the approach is kind of a nightmare for me.

Maybe just baiting them? Or just throwing eggs at them until they come in?

you should be approaching with your eggs. short hop approach while throwing eggs low.

i've become addicted to taking screenshots in this game. the faces pikachu makes when it's hurt or dodging is fucking sooo cute lol

Hey guys so how much of a problem has this been in your experience?
Never, it is weird because in a 4player online match I targeted one guy who was giving me a good fight, and we went for like 10 matches and we were never disconnected.

How many times did you play and did you not attack anyone else?
In my way to my rival i would punch who ever stood in my way.

That's a good idea. I noticed the Rosalina players were having trouble with egg approaches in general, so that might keep them off guard. Definitely need to practice this.

Yoshi is best in the air. A well spaced Bair is a great idea.

I love Yoshi's bair... Love using it as a combo starter. Short-hop nair is a fun sucker punch too. I think my problem with using bair as an approach is that I do it from too far away and they dodge/punish when I get closer. Maybe a closer short-hop bair would fix some spacing issues? Every time I'm facing the opposite direction I feel like the opponent knows it's coming.

God DAMN, Master Core in 9.0 Intensity was fucking infuriating (ESPECIALLY the Fortress part for a while, until I realized it's probably a smart idea to NOT ignore the enemies in there), but I did it at least \o/

fight a level 9 fire emblem character and despair.

This, I cycled through my mains trying to get lucina and got countered to death, luckily my girlfriend was able to do it with her Kirby but man was that a rough time.

It did make me want to figure out counter moves though, since I never ever use them.
