How did I JUST realize you can control the direction of Megaman's B move!? And I've had the 3DS version since launch too! T_T this changes everything

He's a really good character, so many options and spacers.

The guy/gal I played spent most of the match throwing and picking up bananas. I had no clue how to approach with my scrub ass Lucina. Jump? Nah son, eat these monkey feet. Go in? Have fun slipping on that bananas and hold this combo on your chest.

Diddy, Samus and Yoshi. A characters I thought little of... Until now. App bodied me for free.

So if yiu want free wins add Mik317

I've been trying the Single Player modes tonight and I can say I like most of them.

Crazy Orders is very cool. The whole time thing and sort of keeping your damage make it very interesting. I thought 10 turns was good but then noticed some challenges that ask you to clear 20 turns lol. Giant Battle is always a smart choice because giants are dumb.

Master Orders is less cool... The Intense battles can have rules so ridiculously gimmicky that it feels dumb. I didn't enjoy it as much as Crazy Orders.

Smash Tour is alright. I haven't played it much so I haven't understood the rules fully, but it was entertaining. Besides, it isn't very long so it doesn't feel tedious IMO.

Target Blast is nice. However, only 3 "maps" will make it tedious to clear with every character.

Home Run Blast is the same than in Brawl. It loses a bit of it uniqueness with Target Blast being in the game though.

I haven't played many Events so far, but they are fine. I like the way they are ordered now and that they have rewards. Nice mode!

Classic is cool. I don't honestly get the hate. The new style with 2 stocks per match is better than the old one IMO. It's also very challenging, particularly in high intensities.

Overall, I've liked the non-Smash modes. An Adventure Mode would've been nice, like Melee's one. Also, I'll miss Break the Targets since it was always fun.

Catch them and throw them back while using strong air approaches. I don't play Lucina, though, so I have no idea how well she can punish trips and the slow-ass banana pulls if they're that predictable.

Never really been into Smash, but how does SSBWiiU compare to Brawl and Melee? I remember people saying they disliked Brawl since it was inbalanced and cited Melee as superior.

In terms of just the core gameplay I'd say it's just as good, if not better than Melee. If we're counting the modes other than VS, Melee is the better game.

So I've played a couple online matches and both were laggy. I have a fast internet connection however I am playing on wifi. So is the game's netcode just bad or will a simple switch to a wired connection solve the issue? Anyone played using both wifi and wired and noticed a huge difference?

The prima guide has been a real let down. It only has very basic information. ssbwiki.com is far more comprehensive. Save your money people or if you must buy it use the SAVE25 coupon code on checkout for the digital guide to save 25% which comes out to $7.49.

Spectate mode is a lot of fun, but I swear I must be watching Level 1 amiibo battles or something with the way some of these people are playing.

Diddy's down throw > up air as a guaranteed kill at a certain percentage... I don't like it for some reason, even though some characters have simple throw > kill. Maybe it's because this is less dependent on stage location.

Myself and others have had games with near flawless lag, so it could be a variety of reasons you are experiencing bad lag.

- Where is your router located? Is it close to your system?
- Bad luck and the people you were playing had bad connections
- Firewalls on your router?
- Open your ports?

I have a 7MBps connection (that is, not a good one) and it works fine (with wifi). I have lag in like 1 of 10 matches. Maybe something's work with your router/modem?

After today's KTAR I am convinced that Diddy's Up Air is better than pre-patch Rosalina was as a whole.

In fact it's better than the entire top tier cast.

Can I express my appreciation for the GCN puck? Once again my wavebird has new life! Seriously how is a 12yr old controller still relevant in 2014? The amount of content in this game is just nuts! Long live Nintendo! Long live Smash!

Since I've registered both the Wii U and 3DS versions on Club Nintendo, I'm good with getting Mewtwo and the CD right? Can I trade my 3DS version in once I've registered it and not worry about the CN stuff?

The router is close... but could be closer I guess. No walls in between though.
I do know I'm working with a really small sample size here but figured I'd see what others experienced but yea it could've just been bad luck. I'll def check the ports though.

Thanks for the input. Yea my connection is much faster than that so I'l check the things Shamrock mentioned and see what changes. Good to know it's good for others over wifi though. I'df have to buy the adapter otherwise.

Router proximity doesn't really matter unless there are walls around, the issue would be if there's just a lot of other wifi pollution in the area that is causing interference and packet loss.

My results in Spectate mode trying to win 100,000 coins with a streak.

When I have 10,000:

Got 33,333 twice in matches with three 10.0 chance characters.

Lost on two team matches with a 2.0 and 10.0 odds. Had to go for it.

Still trying. Have over 120,000 coins. I had with only 900 coins when I started Spectate mode today.

Anybody won 100,000 coins yet?

Just saw how the GC adaptors are selling for like $100 on ebay? o_O

That's crazy. In Australia/NZ you can buy them directly from Nintendo customer service for $30, if you miss out on the bundle.

I'm very bad Romance lol. GGs though, you're really a great player.

I have no idea how to implement spot dodges because the command feels weird to me. I'm also far to predictable and kept running into your spot dodges.

I can use a lot of work, haha

Yup, when pinging my wifi devices within 2-feet of my router I would still get occasional ping spikes of up to 18ms. It's best to get an ethernet adapter if possible that way you can eliminate wifi ping spikes on your end.

YES please!

Very fun games! Forgive my taunting, I'm not mean guy I just love "DKO'd" and the others.

If I may, you tend to dash against my shield often. It allows you to get grabbed easily. Also use ROB's Nair a little more. It is very good against big characters and keeps guys like me off of you giving you space.

Lots of fun but gotta play my cousin now! I look forward to more!

You aren't bad by any means just work on spacing a little more so you don't land on my shields and get grabbed.

Would someone please answer this:

How is the single player in this game? I don't really care that much about the MP.

All the reviews keep talking about the MP and ignore the SP and its pissing me off.

Why don't they talk about single player options?

Can anyone put a list on how to unlock everyone, I got falco and I knew how to unlock DHD with cruel multiman melee, but I want to go for everyone else starting with lucina

Got to spend a pretty good amount of time on a friend's copy of the game today. The game is fun, but it seems like defensive play is still heavily rewarded? Waiting for your opponent to attack, blocking, then punishing with a throw seems to work far better than it should.

One thing I was happy about is even on a wireless connection, the netplay seemed pretty smooth other than the rare hiccup.

From the new characters I tried, Wii Fit Trainer was surprisingly fun. I could see myself subbing her. Palutena also seemed interesting, but I'm a bit unsure about her. I'll need to put more time in learning how she works when I have the chance.

Overall the game is enjoyable, but I'll probably wait for the game to drop in price and I'll buy it then if people I know are still playing online. I'll play it with friends locally that own the game when I have the chance, but other than that, I'll stick to Project M.

so what is the best mode to unlock custom moves?

Also, how can I know which bag is for custom moves? sometimes they´re those.. stickers thing... or are they all the same just random luck?
