Very fun games! Forgive my taunting, I'm not mean guy I just love "DKO'd" and the others.

If I may, you tend to dash against my shield often. It allows you to get grabbed easily. Also use ROB's Nair a little more. It is very good against big characters and keeps guys like me off of you giving you space.

Lots of fun but gotta play my cousin now! I look forward to more!

You aren't bad by any means just work on spacing a little more so you don't land on my shields and get grabbed.

Don't worry about taunting, I forgot to set up the phrases and such, but I do it as well. Just makes the game more fun!

I noticed that, yet I kept doing it. Maybe it's because I lack other approach tactics, but I suppose maybe if I would dash and nair I may have hit you, I just am bad at using the nair.

Appreciate the advice, much needed. Before Smash 3DS, I've only ever played my friends and I pretty much always beat them, but I knew that I'd be facing really great players come Smash 4 Wii U. Really stoked to play and learn from you and more of SmashGAF.

Wtf is the secret to getting lag free online with wii u games? This wireless connection is NOT cutting it!

Any advice for maining Pac-Man as a scrub tier player?

Also, was the music section this comprehensive in Brawl? I can't believe all of the tracks available from the get-go. Listening to the Super Mario World theme, along with a couple OoT tracks, a Mega Man medley and then a Tetris cover might've made me a little misty eyed...

Down b to mess people up, and keeping on the move with forward b IMO. Also melons.

Got to spend a pretty good amount of time on a friend's copy of the game today. The game is fun, but it seems like defensive play is still heavily rewarded? Waiting for your opponent to attack, blocking, then punishing with a throw seems to work far better than it should.

One thing I was happy about is even on a wireless connection, the netplay seemed pretty smooth other than the rare hiccup.

From the new characters I tried, Wii Fit Trainer was surprisingly fun. I could see myself subbing her. Palutena also seemed interesting, but I'm a bit unsure about her. I'll need to put more time in learning how she works when I have the chance.

Overall the game is enjoyable, but I'll probably wait for the game to drop in price and I'll buy it then if people I know are still playing online. I'll play it with friends locally that own the game when I have the chance, but other than that, I'll stick to Project M.

Defense is definitely favored. It's not as bad as Brawl though. Aggressive play can payoff.

...

You can change it in Mega Man 2?

You never pressed the shoot button while holding any direction other than right? Ever?

The game just isn't clicking for me. I'm going to give it a few more days but I'm not seeing it. It's an interesting game but I guess I'm more of a street fighter.

So when you do you think we'll get a text dump of all the milestones? Because checking those off is the only way I'm ever going to feel "done" with this game, like with the 3DS version

I'd say its more spacing play is favored, but being overly defensive (ala Brawl) is too easy to punish for all these viable fast characters that have spacer options or are just absurdly fast and versatile like Shulk/Shiek/Pikachu.

Playing super zoomed out in Palutena's Temple and Great Cave Offensive is unfun and is actually made worse by eight players. Four players together typically feel this problem and tend to stick close together to avoid it but there's too much chaos with eight players. The super duper huge stages just seem like poor design period. When things are all zoomed out there's very little connection to the action going on and it is hard to both play properly and care when your character is a few pixels tall.

So does no one have anything to say on the single player?

I'm guessing the lack of responses means, the SP experience is fairly shallow.

NOT GOOD NEWS!

For Fun is really fun this time around! Smoother gameplay, larger screens, crazier stages...I'm enjoying this more than For Glory I must admit.

I'm enjoying it. Its Smash Bros. Its solid. My housemate isn't blown away but he said he's not disappointed by it either. Put in 5 and a half hours so far, I really suck but am slowly getting better. Better at the 3DS version, somehow.

EDIT: Agreed about defensive play - feel like its more favoured than it should be.

Yeah I'm pretty bummed out how little of a single player experience there is. I know it's to be expected because it's Smash but there is just a huge void here that not even Brawl had.

So much single player content. Its just great smash + working online is easily the best content. But yeah, so many different modes it makes my head spin and there's probably some I haven't even seen yet.

I feel so sluggish at this game. Like, I'm always one step behind my moves. When I used ZSS in brawl, I felt really precise, now I feel like I'm missing my sweet spot.

Gotta practice more.

8 player Smash is way, way too much fun, it was a huge hit at my party. It's been a long time since I've seen so many people just relishing in the chaos of Smash. Beautiful.
