They should have given him a crow mask with hair like kane.

This looked really, really good.

I just realized looking at that gif that Sting doesn't even wear tights anymore, those are fucking sweatpants.

God damn it Sting!

"It's Sting! And suddenly he cares about the power structure in the WWE and is very concerned about the flagrant rulebreaking going on in one specific pay-per-view!"

Sting's debut was very sub-par to what it would have been. It suppose to be an incredible debut for a man like that but with no baseball bat, bland music (even Sting debuting with his TNA's music would have been off the hook), no build up, and no intense situation make it seem like they should have pulled the debut out of Survivor series and left it for RAW or Royal Rumble. Very disappointed and I blame WWE thoroughly for this.

The Scorpion Deathdrop was excellent done though so I am happy about that.

WWE has no idea how to get intensity or spectacle across in its product anymore. You should've expected it.

Way to be super selective on what to complain about in a pro wrestling show where a lot of dumb things happen.

Fuck all that noise. Even though I knew it was probably coming, that moment was style hype as hell.

Also, even without the overbooking, that match was way better than it had any right being.

For what it was...it worked. They needed a shock factor to get people to resub or not cancel out of their subscription. It's no different from bork beating the streak/bryan winning the titles at wrestlemania or brock squashing cena at summerslam around the time the commitment was over.

Desperation is a killer. Like I said earlier, this ppv was pretty much a f2p game.

Pretty great PPV overall. The main event elevates it a lot. Fucking STING! STING! Fuck. I still have goosebumps. So happy to see him. His new theme is really cool so I can't complain about it not being the crow sting one. It rocks. Main event rocked.

Don't worry, I am always 50/50 for when it comes to the WWE and the delivery of their product. Frankly, I'd have to say that the episode of RAW that aired two weeks ago was better than this Survivor Series. So considering this, I'm not surprised they messed up Sting's debut... it could have been the biggest pop and debut ever but... they killed it.

I hope WWE is reading this and many other post that are similar to mine because they need to understand how poor they have done.

agreed. Lets face it folks...this ppv was raw with a survivor series sign. The main event brought back that special old school feel of all types of shenanigans to be expected during a wrestling match. Sure Sting was random and rushed, but it was still effective. I marked out to the moon despite the weird Yeezus theme sting came out with...

Show highlights, ranked in order from best to worst:

1. Dolph Ziggler
2. Rusev's flip-flops and itchy scrotum
3.

4. Everything else except Sting
5. Sting

I hear you, but it could have been so much more. One biggest and most important guys ever in Wrestling history and... that was the execution. Not enough.

Well honestly I'm not sure the pop would've been any better because WWE has had mostly awful crowds recently. They could've presented it better though, sure, but I feel like way about most of their stuff these days. It's just a sterile show all around.

My second favorite thing that happened in the ppv. XD[/QUOTE]

I take it you don't get out much?

Yeah but the way the WWE Network is structured you don't need it to watch RAWS, so even people that enjoyed seeing Sting don't need to stay subscribed to see what happens next, and the WWE has 4 weeks to lose them before the next PPV (which they have shown to be more than capable of)

Sad that you, myself and many others feel this way... Heh, it's like SEGA and their games - we want them to be great but... yeah.

They killed the popularity of wrestling by turning it into a wiggles concert.

Look at wrestling when it was hot at any time in the past 30 years. You see lots of adults in the crowd.

Today you have the Scooby doo cena fan club occupying half of the arena. And they aren't sticking with the product in their teens.

I only started watching wrestling like a year and a half ago, loved Ziggler the moment I saw him, then sat through a year and a half of him losing to randoms on Smackdown, now he singlehandedly took down three out of 5 members. Fucking awesome.

And I'm a sucker for even pointless, random, minor lesbianism. I don't give a shit, that was pretty great. And we didn't have to sit through a full second Diva's match!

WWE's sound mix subdues pops as well.

Add in debuting guys outside of their big towns and what are you gonna do

edit: and no JR. JR fucking sells the shit out of returns SO GODDAMN GOOD

Sting's appearance was just 5, maybe 10 years too late to get a serious pop from the WWE Universe audience. It would have been like seeing Terry Funk come out in the late 90s/early00s. Just some guy you heard about but never really cared enough for. The reaction was a lot more mild than I expected. Diesel's token appearances at RR a few years back got much louder pops.

Nash is still in movies.

To be fair, Diesel came back in what, Philadelphia? St Louis pales in comparison.
