I was so close once. You get the 100k pot yet?
So I wanted to get everyones opinon. I have not played a smash since the N64 days. I loved it then but also had a lot of friends who played.
Fast forward to now, most of my friends no longer play any games. However, I was looking into getting a Wii U, mainly for smash. Would I enjoy it even though I wouldn't be playing with people I know? It looks as though online is similar and still fun.
As Pit, on Palutena's Temple, VERY quickly tap the down taunt button (down on the D-Pad)So how do you activate the Palutena and Pit banter?

The best thing about this game is that it really doesn't seem like any characters are shit. Even a good Ganondorf can put in the work when he needs to.
Really? And this works with the gc controller? I'm tapping as quick as I can and he just taunts. I got him to go on his knees at one point but I'm not sure that was because I tapped the dpad or what. Can't get him to do it again.Captain, that stage looks amazing O_O

I made a couple 64 stages that I'm pretty proud of.

That cannon on Saffron City is super fun, it lands you on the leftmost floating platform at its lowest ebb perfectly, and blows away anyone in the way. The lava square is a fair bumper substitute on Peach's Castle, too.
Anyone notice there's a quirk where if you draw two edges near each other, the edges can't be made grabbable? I had to make some of the gaps there one or two tiles wider than I would've liked in order to enable latching.
Honestly, I'd say you'd be better off getting an amiibo and using it in 1 on 1 matches. Level 9 AIs are exploitable once you get the hang of them. Amiibo AI actually adapts to your playstyle and will force you to try new strategies.
Yea but understand that this is why People can't stand playing against sonic players. It's just in his nature to be very spacy/campy and most matches go to the last minute

Whoa, that looks amazing! Great job! :O
Maybe you should just fill in the entire interior. And maybe have him stand on solid ground, which CPUs who spawn on his foot might use instead of moving platforms. Thanks guys!
Here's another view:

It's a stage that seems like it'll only be good with human players though. Someone always spawns on the right foot, and usually the AI players just try to hop through the hand to get to the top instead of using the moving platforms.
That, and there's the issue where characters just clip through the blocks. Three CPU players are all stuck inside his right arm when this picture was taken.

I wish this game had some kind of "tournament" feature like Mario Kart 8 so I could play against random GAF members.

It's being patched in, it's been said.
Defdo one step forward two steps back.Unfortunately, the stage is too heavy to fill it in, and layering blocks on top of each other works only some of the time.
I really hope they make the stage editor easier to use in a future update. It's been super annoying having to restart a large section because my stylus slipped and I can't edit things. Even worse; I started this a bit too far to the right. His sword didn't fit, and instead of just shifting the blocks, I had to delete everything and start again.
While I appreciate the creative freedom the new stage editor brings, I'd like to be able to just plop things down on a grid, or at least have the option to do that.
If that's true, then I must be really good at this game.Ike is pretty okay. Olimar is the true bottom of the barrel.
Seems like you can at least make your Custom Stages a bit more pretty by putting platforms on top of other ones, though for some reason, it only works some of the time.
sakurai pls let us draw textures on platforms

I cant tell if I'm getting better at 1 vs 1 or the players are getting shittier.
Still looking?Anyone want to play 1v1? I'm kinda bad, so if anyone is patient enough I want to play with that person x)
NNID: daripad
Still looking?
Why isn't there a group lobby like in MK8?
Cool, let's play. I'll add you and I'll host.

Yep, I'm wireless and I've been doing 2v2 For Glory. A dozen matches, all buttery smooth. Simply amazing.
Equally amazing is the fact that my friend and I were able to name our characters "Cocklord" and "Pussay" and our names appeared online. So did our opponents' names: "Weedzilla" and "Thrillho."
Endlessly amused by this.
but at what cost
answer: 3 hours of my time and any future enjoyment i might have gotten out of smash tour
Launch night -- I say, "Maybe I'll get one amiibo," and then I get two.
"OK, two is enough," says I. The next day, I buy two more.
"OK, four is enough," says I. A few days later:

Six should be enough... Right?
Although Link looked better than expected. Hmm.
But yes six should enough
I just wish they'd let me play my PS3 games
That will come with the tournament mode update that they mentioned in the Smash direct, though there's no date set just yet.
It's gonna have brackets and stuff, so it will likely function like an actual tournament. Is that how tournament mode is going to work, though?I hope so.
There's a tutorial or something available explaining what each stat means. Well there was one in the 3DS version, and I imagine the Wii U version will have one accessible if you press the Y button when you are in the menu before you go into spectator mode.I have a quick question about spectating. I see that when betting there are multipliers and likelihood stats, but does anyone know what those are based on exactly? Kinda feels like i'm just tossing darts blind folded.
