Yeah, pre-ordered on the 4th and my order is still on 'Order Placed'. I also ordered 1 Amiibo on the 10th but that was dispatched 6 hours ago.

I have had order updates come through 10-11pm from Amazon before and still got the item the next day, so there is hope yet!. Seems that orders can sometimes take a while to update.

Tempted to cancel and pick it up from GAME in the morning instead, but I'm not sure if they'll have the GC adapter available so will wait for now.
 
Well huh. My trophy count is at 369 and it's already slowed down to a crawl in Trophy Rush. Like, I'm only getting a new trophy every one in 3 times or so. Admittedly I only have like 11 Classic Trophies and 2 All Star, and I only just noticed the Alt trophies were exclusive to the shop, so I only have like 2 of those. And I still need to do like 60 of the Challenges. Still, wasn't expecting the slow down for a while longer, especially seeing a there's a challenge for 700 unique trophies.

Geez.

A ton of the trophies are classic, the alt, and the fsmash ones. I have around 550 and still need a lot of all star runs.

Every Samus I have seen has the tilt. I expect that it is intended.

I understand wanting to have a perfect figure, but seriously, complaining about ever so slightly curved swords and such is revealing too much of your obsession.
 
I'm also in the 'not dispatched from Amazon yet' club for the game + adapter.

Still somehow shows as having an estimated delivery of tomorrow so still holding out hope that they just haven't updated the status for some reason.
 
(in the UK here), my game turned up today, just switched it on, patch downloading now. Anyone got any beginner tips, only ever played about 30mins of smash on the gamecube before.
 
Hi guys! So, I'm a complete Smash noob but I just couldn't resist the insane amount of content and fanservice. Any suggestions on good characters/characters to avoid?

Also, I've got my download code from Game.co.uk but I still can't redeem it. I get a message saying it's a DL code for a game that isn't out yet... probably should have preordered through the eShop, at least I'd be playing it today, as opposed to whenever the 17gb download finishes.

I would try and play a match with a ton of different matches with different characters until you find that one that clicks with you; then, try and get the hang of the game by becoming at least somewhat familiar with them. At least for me, I like having at least one character I can fall back on as someone I understand in and out.

More importantly, though: have fun! You're in for a treat. And feel free to ask us questions anytime.
 
I have an amateur question here... even after deleting every other game from my Wii u, it seems that there isn't enough space left over for smash. Is it correct that you can't download smash bros without external storage? Or are there things to delete I must be missing?

thank you :). First question: i only have a gamepad so that will have to do...but do people prefer using d-pad or analogue? people usually prefer d-pad on fighters no?

Haha, yeah, getting demolished is a good way to train. I've been playing Smash since the 64 days and some guys here wipe the floor with me. But, I always come out a little better.
 
I was hoping to get the game today, but the postal service didn't wanna comply with my hopes. Ah well, it should be here tomorrow, I'm excited to show all sorts of craziness I can come up with.
 
Ooooh, can update now in EU, does that mean the game has unlocked now?
 
Guys, I got to play Smash Wii U at my Ex's house. It is fuckin' gorgeous. *0*

By the way, she didn't have the converter. Luckily I was able to use my 3DS as a controller. :)
