The gif already contains the PSone controller, Dual Analog, Dual Shock 2, Dual Shock 3 and Dual Shock 4.
The Dual Analog and Dual Shock were different. The DA had concave sticks while the DS had convex. The handles were also longer. Sony discontinued it shortly after the release of the DS.

Maybe not for yourself because I assume many wouldn't play it, but if you're a fan of PS and / or wish the Internet would stop asking for it...it's a very good thing.

Actually, you've got a point, it would be nice if everyone could just move on.
If they Remake it, they really have to REMAKE it. I think the mechanics aged not that well. Personally I wouldn't like a Round Base fighting system. If they do the Fighting System like the Kingdom Hearts One or more like FF15 than I might give it a try. ( I am not into RPG's at all)

i think it will be announced 2017, at the 20th anniversary of the game..
I love FFVII, it's like my third favorite behind IX and XII. Anyway, XII remaster needs to happen before VII.

Ok ok...multiple sources say FF7 thing is happening, but when? 2015 does seem to be the year where Sony focuses on getting life back into Japan, but that's with mostly third party titles already that are pretty much exclusives in that region. (MGS5, Dragon Quest Heroes, FF15, Persona 5, Level 5 game etc...)
Honestly, I don't really want to know about stuff that have no chance of releasing until late 2016. It's a very very long time to think about a form of entertainment. If this remake isn't pegged for early 2016, if TLG isn't ready for summer 2015 or spring 2016 (we know Uncharted is for Fall next year) I don't want to hear about it. Sony made the mistake of talking about stuff much too early, and even now I'm getting that feeling with Media Molecule and there puppet show. What the heck was that? What genre is it? When are we going to get more info? Gone from being hyped to not caring, and I think it's best to just avoid it.
Talk about things that are pretty much complete content wise and are in or close to polishing phase. If everyone is working on PS4, Sony shouldn't really need to show us everything, particularly not TLG until it's ready.
Having said that, I belive TLG/Crash/FF7 is the biggest thing that can ever happen at a Sony event. Shenmue, Half-life stuff is more forum goers hype that probably wouldn't translate to mainstream appeal. Only reason TLG doesn't fit into that category is because media has made so many stories about it's absence. So, yes, this is Sony's big celebration of 20 years, I would like for one of them to be shown, but not at the expense of premature hype.

No, I agree. It would be such a massive waste of resources, It wouldn't come out nearly as well loved because nostalgia goggles have really blinded people from the game's imperfections, and it wouldn't give us a new experience.
That being said, I think all 'remasters' and 'remakes' are a waste of goddamn time, and should never be made.
