Got the game and a Gamecube adapter. As well as a pair of amiibos. Link "The Hero" and Peach "Lady Rose". Peach has the most annoying activation animation. Brilliant.
Going to try to unlock people, then I'll be ready to fight. I had hoped the 3DS with the full roster would unlock them for Wii U, but nope. Too bad.

mixed. some games were flawless. some games were laggy as hell.

Seriously, how do you beat Kirby's Crazy Appetite? I am using Dedede's inhale power on the food and I'm trying to pause to plan routes but shit is still ridiculous and I get myself to ~20% when time runs out. Completely random item generation and it loads the stage with Gordo-throwing Dededes and it apparently gives you barely enough time to finish it to the point that you cannot take even a single hit? This event is awful.

So I ordered my Marth amiibo on the 18th of November for release on 21st to pick up at Best Buy. I got my bundle, Link and Samus no problem. Marth never arrived, Best Buy never got Marth figures.
Fast forward to today It is still not in stock anywhere in Connecticut and Massachusetts (and never was in the first place). How could Nintendo have missed both states? Its so stupid, and now I had to order through BestBuy.com and it wont arrive till Dec 23rd.

So my screen shot album is quickly filling up with photos by me hitting the ZR and ZL when trying to quit out of matches instead of R and L. I'm sure Melee had the quit be on L and R which were the triggers, why change it? It's annoying. Also needing to pick your name every time you go into a mode is super annoying. The 3DS just saved it as default, why can't we pick a default player 1 name or scheme or something? Also why no restart option in Event Mode? It's stupid having to quit and go back in (yay load times). You can restart in the multi man smash stuff though. Weird.
Also sucks having to unlock characters and custom items and Mii costumes again after doing it on the 3DS.
Other than that it's great. Smash Tour is good fun and goes quick, Master/Crazy orders are cool, co-op all star and classic means I can get character trophies quicker even if I just let P2 idle (not tried it with All-Star mode yet though).
