Hmm, Olimar has a custom move that makes his Pikmin act like Purple Pikmin (the pikmin won't latch on, but will just do a single hit instead). Not sure if that would be better. I like the damage over time you get on the default ones (especially the white one), but I think the custom one might be better when the opponent is trying to get in your face.

Massive line at the Target this morning. And the guy at the front bought every GC adapter and Marth amiibo they had. No Smash for me.

I'll just go somewhere else and buy solus and hope they make more adapters

Australians join the battle! Amiibo look great.
Local Target only had 4 adapter bundles. I got the last one. Dude behind me was furious because the person first in line bought 2. Poor guy!

But I got my copy:

Got the game today, though haven't been playing much due to fatigue. But I created a stage, here are some screenshots (in poor quality, I don't have an SD card at the moment):

My Nintendo Network ID is Rosti_NeoGAF. I'll be online over the weekend, though I find playing with the GamePad quite difficult so I can't promise any overly exciting matches.

Otherwise, I'm really liking the game. I completed Classic Mode at base level with Wii Fit Trainer. Good against most things.

The guy at my target in front of me bought everything they had. I was shooting him death stares. He kept apologizing but he could have just not bought it all. Nintendo's under stocking has really fucking killed my hype for this game.

I spam the shit out of Peach's fair. I know I shouldn't but I can't stop, won't stop. Rocking people in the face with a crown is probably the best way to spend time in any game, any where.

Smash Tour putting salt in my wound with Dixie Kong relegated to a mere trophy item, the extra mid air jump bonus was oh so bittersweet.
Such an odd mode as well, I had some fun with the three trips necessary to get Pac Land but it's arguably a more random mess than Mario Party at its zaniest.
The tease that is a different character for each stock mode basically lying exclusively in here ain't right I tell ya.

Now that I've also tried the online I'm almost stunned to find For Fun a far more playable mode that isn't as much of a connection crapshoot.

GGs guys!

...I need a break, lol. And yeah, no idea where that lag came from. Can't be from our lodgers downloading stuffs since they just moved over the other day.

That guys an a-hole. I wouldn't even be able to look the rest of the line in the eye. And every Marth? Seems like a possible scalper :/

Ah well, the game from Target + the adapter from Nintendo ($29) is about the same price anyway, if that's of any help.

Can someone kindly explain how Wario's bike works? I use it and can't seem to jump off it when I want to or just go driving right off the edge haha

Since I've unlocked all the stages, I have to say I think I might like the stages on 3DS more. Not so much the layout of the stages (because very little of them are good competitive stages), but just the design and ideas for the stages. Magicant, 16-bit F-Zero, Magicant, Spirit Tracks, Magicant, Pac-Maze, Magicant, Rainbow Road, Magicant, Dream Land, Magicant, they're all such cool looking stages that made me really happy to see. The ones on Wii U, while more are competitive friendly, are kind of meh to me. Plus it feels like there were waaay too many returners on Wii U and not enough original stages. The main stages on Wii U I enjoyed based on design alone are Duck Hunt, Wii Fit Studio, Pilot Wings, and....that's about it.
