If you truly want to argue about being juniored <which is not the most advisable thing i guess>
1) PM a mod, expressing the fact that youre sorry for that. Or that at least you arent going to make "hypothetical" threads again?
2) do not say anything obnoxious, else you risk a ban.

Thanks. I'm still quite surprised a thread like that is considered wrong, and that I should be worried to contact a mod lol. I obviously don't want to be ban, and I don't see how addressing something as simple as this is a problem. Thanks. I'll think about it

Er, I didnt mean to be worried. I talk to multiple mods often, theyre cool :P
It's just I'm saying dont go "Hey I didnt deserve to be juniored what the hell whyd you do this to me" or something >.<
 
Started playing today it. It's...amazing.

No, really. It plays fantastic, it looks fantastic (60fps and 1080p really help in this, + COLORS!) and the online works very well. I had some problems / disconnections, to be fair, especially in Free for All / 2 vs 2, but the vast majority of the matches I played today (around 40) was basically flawless. Even some Free for All / 2 vs 2 matches went great. 3DS version has a good online component, but on Wii U it's 10 times better in terms of reliability / lag / feeling. And I'm playing on Wi-Fi, without the LAN adapter.

It's going to be a smashign Christmas, for sure :D
 
Not sure it's most of GAFs cup of tea, but custom moves, equipments, spectator mode, and the Orders are the best new features. Money actually mattering is good too.

I was actually approaching most of the time. You barely approached. I started staying on the other side to prove that point. You were kind of hanging back making trees and throwing gyros, which is fine, if a little boring, but if the other guy gets a lead, he can just hang back until you do something. Ultimately there is a point where avoiding approaching others no benefit aside from extending the match, but sometimes that isn't to your benefit. but anyways ggs. Sorry about those other two. No idea who they were but I was thinking they wanted to play team matches.
 
So roughly 10 hours of playtime it's time for my "list of easy things that should get patched but won't because it's Nintendo"

1. Add a retry to Event Matches
2. Change the "Quit Game" button combo on non GC controllers to ZR+ZL+A+Select (easier to reach select with left thumb than start)
3. Have a default "name" for P1 so you don't have to change your name every time you want your control scheme. It's so annoying switching modes and assuming your controls are the same because it was like that on the 3DS and finding out you are jumping when trying to do up tilts or smashes and you are grabbing instead of guarding.
 
I haven't followed the latest news, is it me or some characters feel different between 3DS and Wii U?

Maybe I just need to get used to an actual controller.

I dunno, I felt for the most part you were charging his B projectiles, and when I tried to approach you would jump above me, use his down B, try to knock it at me and then go back to charging B when I was on the defensive.

GGs, though. Yeah, I just usually accept a request for whoever comes in, but I'm not sure what was going on in those last matches.

I guess this is a decent place to ask.

Is there any way on the Wii U to quickly populate your console with cool Miis? Like on the original Wii, you could go through the Check Mii Out channel and download a bunch that you liked, like Ice Cube, Jesus, Jack Black, etc.

I individually transferred a lot of Miis from my 3DS so they would show up as part of the Fighting Mii Team, but I was wondering if there is an alternative to scanning QR codes or making them from scratch.

I've been using a gamepad since my gamecube adapter didn't arrive and its okay.. But it would be a lot better with a pro controller or gc controller imo.

Most of them seem worst in the EU, like they tried to be clever but instead come out too wordy and not really titles. Like Mario in the US is "Mr Videogames himself" and in the EU is "Smashes Bricks with His Fists". Some I think are better like Luigi's and Fox's titles (Fox's mostly becuase it's one of the lines I remember most from SF64).

Why would they waste time changing these? Majority of them are indeed inferior.
 
Oh yeah, has anyone got much value out of Master Orders? I've only done it for the Challenges that require it, and it just gave me some equipment, which is kind of bleh. Crazy Orders seems to give out some nice stuff though.

I got some soundtrack CDs out of it. Still looking for the W101 CDs though. Anyone knows if those are locked behind challenges?

The thread does not generate any discussion. It doesn't ask a question or pose an interesting thought that generates intelligent debate.

It's simply a LiveJournal of your thoughts. NeoGAF doesn't want to be anyone's diary of thoughts (well... maybe in Off Topic).
 
game is really fun on line, tons of noobs so i can get wins now and then hooray! need to work on my grab skills.

what does the hardcore community make of this so far in comparison with melee? better/worse?
