Dude was so deep in thought at the end of that shit. Nigga was thinking all the life choices that led him to this one moment. What a way to go out

One of the announced exhibitions for NEC is Justin Wong vs. Sanford Kelly, FT10... in MvC2. Are we going into 2015 or 2005? It's really nice to see the real Marvel back... from time to time, anyway.

Should of moved to America would of sleep walked his way in....
He was at a bunch of tournaments in America as it was; he just never did good enough in them to either win a qualifier or get enough points to qualify that way. The scariest Ls are the ones you worked the hardest to get.

That's why he should of moved here he would of been at all of them! Bound to win one of them... I mean unless he has regress hard.

Also Gamerbee's Elena is really good.. but basic.

Not touching Sako's in any level tbh.

Gamerbee didn't mix up his cr.LP's into lynx tail at all which could've caught Fuudo a couple of times if he went for it.

Have to agree. Sako's Elena looks a lot more dangerous, since he's more ready to utilize low-high mixup and is dishing out a lot more damage when he got the resources. He also sticks out his limbs a lot less in comparison.

But to be fair. Gamerbee's is no slouch either even though it's more basic.

:/. Kinda sad to see him like that. Especially when he did so well at Dreamhack. Capcom Pro Tour Final isn't the end of all and he shouldn't let it get to him.

This Dreamhack was pretty good, sans the break. Good player pool and great deal of tense matches. Still disappointing that Smug wasn't able to attend. For young players like him having some international experience surely would have helped a lot. I hope he'll be able to find a sponsor who can help him to attend more national and international tournaments.

This thread is the best. If you play fighting games and don't post here, you're a sucker.

Actually, if you don't play fighting games at all, you're even more of a sucker.

Who's going to NEC and wants to do a brief GAF meet up? I'ma be there Thursday through Sunday and I'll be neck deep in animeeeeeeee

Sad to see Gamerbee not qualify. He put in so much throughout the year. Hope he doesn't take this loss too hard.

Good to see more of MVC2. MVC3 is becoming more of an afterthought. Going to be interesting to see which has the most hype at NEC.

I would have loved to see Smug at Dreamhack, but he wasn't prepared to go and didn't want to take donations to make it over there because of people complaining about him taking donations. 2015 is going to be his year though.

clashtournaments has it's top 8 going on right now on stream. Just had a Fox beat a Diddy - good stuff.

Zelda vs. Rosalina in Winner's Semis.

Edit: Zelda just 2-stocked Keitaro.

I've been that guy for like a year and a half. Get on my level.

Bout to jump back into Injustice next week tho
Weren't you going to pick up Smash U?

Why wasn't there a sequel to Techromancer/Kikaioh, why did Infinite Battle have to such, why isn't there a real SRW versus, and how the hell did Sako dodge all the 70s and 80s mecha shows along with Gundam.

art playing this old school sf2 tutorial. shit is hilarious

http://www.twitch.tv/nycfurby

before they talk about the characters they introduce them by having a guy posing as them in their voice. Ryu and Honda had the most fake feudal Japanese accent. Blanka had a straight up Mexican voice(the guy even had the pitch up and down packed.). and Ken had some surfer dude accent... This is amazing...

xrd comes out in a week and you're getting pumped for injustice

aite
No way I'm paying full price for Xrd, plus I've spent enough already between buying a PS4 and school. Plus, I pseudo-don't have to pay for Injustice.

Nah my buddy is picking up a Wii U with Smash. Pretty much any time I'd ever want to play the game I'm going to be at his house since he has all the controllers and whatnot already.

Won't consider picking up a Wii U until I see how Splatoon comes out and if there's anything else Nintendo has up their sleeves.

Playing Injustice is a cost in-of-itself. Getting it on PS+ has solved a question I've had since its release: would I even play this game if it were free? It turns out the answer is no.

Just spent like 2 hours playing 4-player online Smash with friends, had an absolute blast. Still only the second time I've played Smash pretty much ever, NO idea what I'm doing. Was starting to stick with Peach though. Turning off tilt jump and flipping one of the jump and attack buttons on the pad helped a TON, but I'm still super terrible at the game. Main thing messing me up is just general movement and attack ranges; constantly am dashing when I don't want to be (causing me to go past people), I try to attack when people are out of range or I'm facing the wrong way etc. But I had enough fun where I'm going to actually try to stick it out and learn the game, whereas with Brawl I played the game for like 4 hours the day it came out and was done with it, and I never played Melee.

What's the point of having the Justin vs Sanford match? It's not going to change anything... Sanford can win it 15-0 and Justin would still be the GOAT. And that's not going to happen because Justin will win anyway.

Not at all interesting unless some money is on the line. I have see those two fight so many times. Just in the last tourney Justin whooped Sanford 6-1.

it's a $500 money match

I've been out of the FGC loop for a long while.

Few questions:

1) For SF4, with this new patch, will tournies be using Omega mode or whatever?

2) Guilty Gear xrd---big community ready stateside? Game looks ace!

3) How is Smash U Being received by the community? Game looks kinda hype... is Spooby streaming it, as well as the west coast?

I actually bought it on 360 as well. Well, traded in a bunch of useless games like FFXIII and such for it when EB had a trade-in bonus promo. I just want to play Scorpion, TBH.

I know that feel about getting games for free and still not wanting to play them. It began on Steam, but even when I got Crysis and Sleeping Dogs for free on 360 I only played like an hour of each before I just said it's not worth my time. Not like that for all games though, I got way more out of World of Keflings lol

maybe you'll see more Omega side tournies than Edition Select side tournies, but that's our best indication of its place in the competitive scene.
