Twas the night before The Game Awards,
And no one gave a shit.
Geoff Keighly was spinning,
He had not a hit.

Oh man, he thought,
As he fretted with angst,
I have Mountain Dew on line one,
Doritos will not give thanks!

He called Phil Spencer,
Help, before my thing dies,
Uh, sorry, said Phil,
But I think we have Ryse.

Geoff went to Twitter,
And said the sequel was GREAT,
It was phenomenal, unbelievable,
But he was far too late.

i got bored here

You sure have won my heart and secrets. Congratulations.

As Neogaf waits in captive disbelief
Worthy teases and makes me peeve
I want a hint and something more
Before I get banned by Evillore

As Cloud rises and the Guardian falls
Y2Kev laughs and makes me feel small
Bish will come and silence the lambs
And all the insiders will shriek and scram.

Every time I look at this the more I think they have something up their sleeves. There is too much effort put into this little hint for it just to be an "easter egg" of sorts.

This picture came into my mind yesterday. That sign literally says:

"Crash out of trash, on its way to PS"

I want to believe.

would a crash game really sell in these times? i mean i like crash and all but i'm not sure it would be great for sony, as a gamer though, i'd welcome it

Every time I come back this thread has gone further down hill.

Sony has a history of releasing games that probably won't sell well, but that will help keep the core happy. But, I had thought that this practice had come to an end, given their financial status.

it all depends on how innovative it is, juts look at the mario games, each installment has something new, i guess it would have to be something similar if the games were to become a meaningful franchise again

I don't know if I want it, but I certainly feel it holds some sort of nostalgic cache, with a huge demographic of people - even those outside the hardcore gaming market. Even non-gamers. If they could market it properly, I reckon it could make a really strong comeback.

That part really made me laugh.

So, is the plan to reveal most of the games at the Game Awards, then give them a full showing the next day in Vegas? Does anyone think the megaton(s) will be shown on Friday? That would make sense, if Sony's aim is to reach as many people as possible, but would also make PSX a little less special.

I think the games that'll be revealed at TGA are going to be, mostly, multiplatform games. I doubt we'll see Sony's biggest games on there.

Yep.... CTR gameplay, Sumo level design and reverence, Crash and Cortex characters...

Would be for the best if Naughty Dog won't bother, despite my hate for Sega's recent treatment of Sonic and their IPs I adore Sonic Racing All Stars on my vita, will buy Sumo's next in a heartbeat.

I think everyone needs to rein in their expectations a bit.

I think we will get Crash, Agent, Shenmue III, Eight Days, The Getaway 3, Wipeout Revival, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Metal Gear Solid 1 Remake.

The Last Guardian may be questionable - may have to consult Shu.

Last surprise will hopefully be the announcement of Half-Life 3 with Gabe being carried in on a throne made of solidified fan tears.

I think it would be a good idea to release some trailers on Friday that end with information about the full reveal to follow the next day in Vegas. At the very least I expect to see U4 at The Game Awards in some form.
