Gematsu: Sony to hold Playstation Experience event in December

I've said it once and I'll say it again; just show gameplay for Uncharted 4, No Mans Sky, and announce a new game and I'll be more than happy :). Anything more than that is just gravy.

6. What type of information would you like to hear about games already announced (ex: features you'd like to see in uncharted 4 that maybe weren't in the series before)?
7. What type of shit would you like to hear announced for the PS4 itself, feature-wise?

1. 2 or 3, just like E3
2. A couple is fine
3. everyone.guf
4. The usual time Sony devotesnto them at conferences is fine
5. -A JRPG in the ambitious way of LoD
-A new entry in an old IP saga (Crash/Parappa/Medievil)
-Complete reboot of an old IP
6. -No Man's Sky modes/Bloodborne coop
7. -Announced and missing features
-PS1&2 disc based emulation

Idk, i'd actually prefer brand new games, but since it's an anniversary, its right to have sone old glories back.

Yo seriously, this looks like Midgar, (Its been awhile since I played so I could be completely wrong.)

There seems to be a bunch of little things pointing to FFVII...but this looks like a ruined Midgar. I'm calling it: FFVII-2

PS4 reveal thread was way way better (this is great too but)

we had Kazification of avatars
we had a ton of insanely good gifs...TONS!
Hype was even higher than this
We had countdowns each day

there is no show big enough to meet the expectations of a thread this hyped seriously

Grand Theft Auto 6 exclusive and Final Fantasy X Chrono Trigger exclusive with FFVII remake for free as a pre-order bonus would be the only possible way

A lot of people on my Twitter timeline and myself included want that feature, so yeah it is requested.

But I assume Ami is teasing games, from the following posts and knowing that a suspend/resume feature is nothing you announce as huge news on a stage like that.

Oh I'm not saying people don't want it, I want it as much as the next person. But I feel that wording it as a "requested" feature is misleading. I read "requesting" as something fans ask for first and Sony delivers. Not Sony showing us something and then us just asking when it's coming.

So from what you know amirox, will the show be at least as good as gamescon this year?

That would be more than enough for me (I also enjoyed it a lot).
 
Man, I really really hope this show won't get leaked. There is way too much teasing already (since we now know there'll be an anouncement that was much requested it won't be a surprise anymore...). Everytime when I dreamed about Shenmue/Crash/FF7R/whatever I hoped it'd come out of nowhere for everyone to make a REAL impact, but that's probably impossible in this day and age. :/

Agreed. Let's hope it will come with the next firmware upgrade. :)
 
There is no way in hell that it's going to be a FF7 remake announcement. It's absolutely ludicrous. No way in hell, stop that wishful thinking. The timing does not make a lick of sense, no no no.

It's not going to be Crash either.. why you guys do this to yourselves. I'm not expecting a super huge bombastic announcement, this is not an E3.
 
PS1/PS2 emulation is a pretty big requested feature...could be that. I would at least like to play my digital PS1 games. Even the PSP could do that ffs!
 
I'll be happy with some Uncharted 4 and The Order gameplay and an announcement of a new JRPG. Everything else is a bonus. Would I love that RPG to be something like a new Wild Arms? Yes, but I'd gladly take just about anything at this point.

If we do see TLG I will openly weep.

I think the amount of cash needed to make GTA 6 exclusive would bankrupt Sony.

In either case that game is years out. It usually takes them 4-5 years between games.

Ok I'll bite :)

1. 1 Really big one would be sufficient. Or 2 Big ones. Also 2 "decently big" and a few smaller ones too.
2. 1-2. I wouldn't really expect more, and that would be great.
3. 3+ (i.e. UC4, B:AK, The Order 1886 per example)
4. Decent, but not overly (Gamescom was awesome and definitely the way to go there, but I don't think it would "fit" this kind of event imo).
5. For me (having not been big into Crash), I would have to say FF VII, Suikoden and Wipeout
6. Co-op in UC4? Co-op and Versus MP in The Order? Bases (land and orbital) construction in No Man's Sky?
7. Suspend/ Resume, Multimedia Remote support, DLNA and many audio/ video format support for local playback of files.

Haha! What about, and I'm not gonna name any games, if someone, say like me, only realistically expects one (maybe two) games from the vast number of suggestions in this thread?

Should I stay hyped or deflate it a bit more?
 
I'm gonna need life support by the time this thing comes around. Has there ever been this much hype ahead of time for a show/conference here just for one platform? I'm sure that's going to get a lot of "are you new around here?" responses, but what the hell. Genuinely curious what the other mega hype threads in gaf's history are.
 
Must say after all these ideas thrown around i rarely saw anyone mention gran tourismo lol....with how bad driveclub launched I'm pretty sure sony wants a racer that is known to the ps brand to now be shown sooner. Keep your hype in check here folks.

Makes me think of FFVII, because - if I remember correctly - that was the game that made PlayStation a contender in the console wars the second it jumped to Sony's ship.
