Seriously.
I'm working on my moves but I think Zero Suit Samus is one of my new mains.
Fast and lethal. Me likey.

I just tried her for the first time because you mentioned her, and I agree, she plays great. I will use her more often in the future and see whether the first impression holds up, especially since I don't really have a main yet.

Okay, guys. I have 22 challenges left (just got the 9.0 uncustomized with Ganondorf, hooray!)

So can anyone confirm for me if any of the following in particular can or can't be hammered?

Marth 9.0 in 12 minutes
All Hats
All CDs
All Custom Moves
20 turn Crazy Orders with Mario
7.0+ Classic with all characters
Hard All Star with all characters
300,000 Gold

Some of these aren't that bad, and I at least want to do the collection stuff eventually, but I'm trying to figure out where to spend my hammers, and these seem like the best candidates from what's left. Also, super lame that apparently you can't hammer the "9.0 without losing a life" one.

300000G can't be hammered. I think the rest can.

If you select a hammer on the Challenges screen, there will be markers placed on the challenges that you can't hammer.

I have 11 challenges left myself and am trying to get through all of them without using any hammers. The one-life run on 9.0 is the only really difficult one left. Some of the others are much more tedious but not as difficult.

Gamecube controller adapters came in today. Now it's complete.

Really sucks that if I go online, half the people tear me apart, but none of my friends are anywhere close to me. Like, Woah he actually KO'd me once kind of nowhere near.

:| I need a good training buddy who is closer to my level.

Though I guess I've done a little better online recently.

I actually haven't played online yet, so I'm wondering if anyone can answer a question.

If I wanted to set up a lobby to invite other people to play while I just spectate, is that possible? For example, if I just wanted to use my livestream setup to stream matches being played by other Gaffers?

No. You could technically get around it by killing yourself at the start of the match and let them fight, but there's nothing in-game that you're asking.

Oh wow. Didn't know that, thanks! I feel a little stupid now, but oh well...

Is someone else in trouble with revealing all of the wall in the credits? I cant seem to do it, always having 99,3% and the counter does not move forward. Any hints?

What I only found out recently is that the picture only fills up with the area that you're hitting the credits on. For example, I was using DK's ground pound to fill up the picture, and I was on the left side of the screen the entire time and got around 700 hits total and got maybe 80% completion. When I used Pikachu and moved around and used Thunder, I got 100% with at least half the amount of hits.

...U-uhm, thats kinda the point >.>

FINALLY BEAT MASTER FORTRESS AT 8.5 YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

I cannot recommend Ness enough. PK Thunder is a godsend via sniping Stalfos/the cores.

I'm so happy that the first character I managed to beat Master Fortress 9.0 wasn't Falcon, Dedede, Marth, or any of my other mains.

It was Mega Man. This is going to be a good game.

If you're having trouble seeing where the blank spots are, they should be twinkling.

Marth 9.0 in 12 minutes
20 turn Crazy Orders with Mario
Classic lv. 9 without losing a single life

Christ, Sakurai.... this may be the first smash I don't complete.

The last of those is a serious problem, but the other two can be hammered if you didn't already use them. But yeah, those seem especially nasty, and I think custom items will be my friend for taking care of them...

Marth 9 I did first try.
20 turns with Mario isn't bad, especially once you learn to cheat. (My record is accidentally dying on turn 45.)

9.0 without losing a stock...that I haven't figured out yet. I got to Master Hand, but I ALWAYS lose 1 stock between the Giant and Sword forms.

after watching that Red Bull Music Academy doco on Japanese video game music I kinda wish Sakurai had sought out some 'normal' artists to do some remixes. A lot of the existing tracks are kinda… poor. I find myself mostly listening to original rips rather than the remixes (Dr Mario Chill and the Melee Mute City excepted). Can you imagine a Smash Bros soundtrack featuring FlyLo, Oh No, the Alchemist, Cut Chemist, Dizzee, J Rock, Kode9, and whoever else that could rustle up? Could produce some great tunes.

How do you cheat crazy orders?

I am hammering the tedium.

Trust me, you won't regret it. She's a solid character. Lots of potential.

I regret buying this.

Just as I'm in the middle of two great games in Bayonetta 2 and DA:I this game has stolen all my attention. Now I can't put it down.

Game is like being caught in the middle of a firework display to begin with, but ever so slowly the madness starts making sense. "Oh wow, did that really happen? Can't believe he just did tha.. quick quick, get that thing! Boom!! Nooo...." Playing this with the whole family is just non-stop whoops of delight and laughter, but even on my own against the CPU I've been having a ball.

Games really don't come more fully fleshed out than this either, the variety and choices on offer are astonishing. Like many others I haven't even thought of going online yet. I wouldn't even have a clue who to use as my main. Most fighters I stick to maybe three characters, but the roster here is full of too many highlights it's impossible to stick with the same one.

I was impressed with ZSS right away, too. First character I picked that actually felt mobile and still hit hard enough.

I'm liking Duck Hunt a lot more than I expected to as well. I want to focus on at least one character with a projectile game so I'm probably going to give them and Mega Man a decent shake.

I am hammering the tedium.
I'm using the All-Stars challenge as an excuse to get some familiarity with every character, and I'm keeping the trophies/moves/gear challenges un-hammered so that they can serve as a checklist for things I've yet to finish unlocking.
