I'll be back just in time for the retail X1 and PS4 versions which i'll get day 1.
Since i'll be out doing work when it starts guess i'll hold off on the PC version.
Also gotta say the way they're doing releases here seems better than TT.
Which is just sporadic and when they choose. Even if they are all basically done, still give it the feel of a TV show more so.

Can't decide to either wait for retail version or to be part of the week to week discussion with the digital copy. Has Capcom said what the extra content is going to be on the disc yet?

i'd even be fine if they had her as the BSAA's medical and virus expert who just stays at HQ on a radio.
Though I really want to see her in action again.
They should do a cross promotion where if you buy REmake HD you get STARS Chris & Jill for Rev's Raid mode.
or a STARS DLC pack with STARS costumes for Barry & Wesker with Chris, Jill and Rebecca for Raid mode.
Never understood why people always clamor for Rebecca to be some virology demigod. She's never been involved with viruses before, she's a chemist and a medic. Significant difference in these fields.
That said, Barry isn't an actual BSAA member. He's a combat specialist adviser, similar to how Doug Wright is an adviser in microbiology and Clive R. O'Brian is an adviser in general matters.
I'm hoping a file in the game explains what Barry was up to between 1998 and 2011. After Raccoon City he joined the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team, the same secret military agency that recruited Leon. It'd be nice for them to formally acknowledge this, and maybe shine a bit of light on the darkside of the U.S. government considering their method of recruitment involved coercion and death threats against children. Wouldn't be surprised if Barry was coerced into joining to ensure his family's safety. The agency was disbanded when Umbrella went bankrupt which conveniently was right around the time the BSAA was established, so it's a pretty smooth transition for him. Leon remained an agent and was assigned elsewhere but Barry resigned and led a quieter life.

She was 18 at the time of RE1 though and could have gone that direction after being involved in the mess.
Chris & Jill obviously had their military talents to use fighting bioweapons,
Rebecca would try to be useful in whatever way she possibly could.
She could just say "screw it you guys are on your own" but after all that she went through it doesn't really fit imo.
Barry not normally being involved is fine, he is old and had a wife and kids to be concerned about.

Barry's back motherfuckers! I'm not expecting much from the actual game... I'm sure it will have a few great moments like Revelaitons did though. I can't pass up a RE game with both Barry and Claire... Hopefully Capcom will surprise us with a good game here.

I think realistically you can forego it and still get the crux of it. You only get costumes, Wesker and the four maps that are apparently THROWBACK FLASHBACKS but they throwback to shitty locations like the cruise liner from Revelations :/
I will probably double dip tho, who am I kidding ._.

Excited that we FINALLY get to see Barry in a leading role.
That said, both his campaign and Claire's campaign involve leading around a helpless girl.
Sometimes I honestly just want more of the non-escort sort of stuff from RE4.

I'm one of the last holdouts left I know, But I love having cases to add to my shelf, and giving gifts. Steam gifting, especially for birthdays and christmas, just isnt the same.

Still looks great. His weaponry suggests another batch of more action orientated chapters, but they also still somewhat focus on the mood here, so I hope his ammo eventually goes low.
