I must keep on believing.

Let's say out of all the ridiculous shit in this thread, and based on what Amir0x said, the 3 most likely scenarios are:

1. TLG shown for PS4
2. Crash revival
3. Dragon's Dogma 2 from Capcom

Would those classify as megatons to you? If none of those end up being true, the real announcements will probably be even less exciting. So use that to judge your megatonnage ratings.

All of those have 0% chance happening, firstly

Crash would be the biggest megaton since it is more left field. TLG we know is coming eventually and DD2 wouldn't be the most bizarre thing.

Thanks guys. All those hollow lists really helped to turn down the heat in here.

@ Mr Boyes

See, next time you try turning down expectations don't write a poem, just start a list. Seems to be far more effective -.-"

This is about as good as I can picture it getting. Maybe swap out any one of those for, or add, a new first party reveal like Bend or Guerrilla's new game and possibly Crash for another classic franchise revival, and I believe we'll have the main announcements.

With that being said, I'd be thrilled if this is what we got. That array of announcements would put it on par with pretty much any E3 Sony has had since 2009. With the expected inclusion of new footage of announced titles and such, it would be a good show in my opinion.

Its all a part of his plan to lower our expectations but then come swinging with a deadly right to our glass jaws!

I know they are unlikely.

I just said out of EVERYTHING in this thread, those are most likely to happen.

If they are 0%, then an FF7 Remake or Fallout 4 exclusive is -100%

I know, right?
We need more WorthyEdge level of teasing. The lists have done their damage.
Amirox, GopherD, Demonnite? Where are thou?

Now that we don't have a thread for the PlayStation Awards is it because it's just a small event? They did say they would probably have surprised. And it's in like 8 hours.

This has probably been asked before, but why is artificially generating hype bannable? If, in the end, the hype wasn't justifiable, wouldn't your rep be screwed up anyways? Is there really a problem adding wood to this hype train's firebox?

Generating hype is one thing.
Claiming insider knowledge & dangling it in front of info-starved people is another.

In line with your question: if someone has legitimate insider info, that person also has the responsibility to use it wisely. TheWorthyEdge, for example, had that info, generated hype, & it was fine. The problem was that individual teased people with his secret knowledge & was warned by mods because it had morphed 'hype generating' into 'attention grabbing'.

90-95% of people in this thread don't know shit about what is going down this weekend during this event. It's important for the 10-5% that do know something/anything to use that information responsibly. A little hype building is fine & likely encouraged, but go too far & it's possible to create absolute chaos- and our hard working mods are the ones that have to clean it up. :)

I'll be starting my weekend by staying up until 05:00 watching the TGAs, and that's just when it's beginning. I'll be there to see it. Does that get me a hype train ticket?

Sony are doing the right thing if they're making some notable announcements in December. It's halfway to E3, and any momentum they build now will benefit The Order and Bloodborne in the months ahead. Just to give people more reason to get a PS4 sooner rather than later.

What do you mean by no...

A) It is no more speculation and they are already in the talking with SCE to join WWS (after many great games).

B) They are not ready yet to jump in with SCE WWS, but they will soon.

C) They want to stay independant. (like Insomniac)

D) None of these.

Ok i try it with you this time.
Verendus can you confirm Edges Claim of 4 Megatons getting announced at the PSX

Try not to get him banned too. Take it easy and lets take Edge's word as truth for now. Its all we got plus all the hype behind it. THIS TRAIN SHALL NOT CRASH!

I believe that he did know one thing. But, I won't take it as fact and I'm certainly not going to assume there are any megatons other than what's already announced. One would be great, two better, yada yada, etc. etc. How about we just remain happy with what we're getting and be hopeful about the rest? No sense in allowing your expectations to run wild and ruin what is already looking like a terrific display.
