And to sweeten the whole thing up add some barriers to make it a closed corridor platformer. I want to run up and down or left and right. If a turtle walks into me, the player shouts "WHOA!!" and dies. Pears would be the currency of this game and steel mask upon wearing would you give invincibility. Sort of like Crash.

It'd be weird for Insomniac not to be there. I know that they're a multiplatform dev now, but they were there near the start of the PSone.

Exactly, Insomniac and Playstation have so much history that it would be a great shame if they weren't revealing something for PS's anniversary. The game is also coming mids next year and we were supposed to get a look at it by the end of this year iirc.

It's in the EDGE cover story about RIME. Quick summary

The island seen so far represents the first stage of the five stages of grief, they are linked by dreams. There are multiple islands, some with many areas.

The color palette and island sets are influenced by Dali, Sorolla, De Chirico & Ghibli.
In one demonstration, a fox appears to lead the player through a thicket of trees with small markings. The markings when aligned make the outline of a fox, and this angle introduces the next puzzle.

The audio is influenced by natural field recordings to create an immersive sound experience. Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka is helping.

I mean the audio inspiration and artistic inspirations are outstanding. I know Tequila Works get shit for their last game (even though it was decent), but I think RIME stands to be truly great.

Didn't Sony try and get the rights to have Crash in PASBR and they weren't able to? If that's true, I doubt they'd have an easier time trying to get the rights to make a new game.
