Oooooo I like this. Actually sounds like it could be a Metroid Prime track.

if you're not familiar with early Tomb Raider music, definitely recommend browsing it a bit. The game was mostly silent as you played it (super creepy), but the sound that came on when you discovered something amazing or to highlight the atmosphere is still to this day some of the best use of audio in gaming.

That sounds great. I won't listen to the soundtrack alone, because if it's as you described it, I need to play the game in order for the soundtrack to come alive. I'll get the PS1 game. Thanks.

Literally just replayed the ICO portion of the video 10 times.

I feel like I should add the disclaimer that you have to radicalize your approach to playing it, because it was designed to work with a d-pad. So movement is grid based and has a relatively steep learning curve. Once you master it it is some of the most precise controls ever seen in the genre, but the learning curve is undoubtedly very very big.

Is anyone a bad enough dude (or dudette) to name what games those songs are from?

Shamelessly stolen from a comment on YouTube, looks pretty accurate to me;

Crash Bandicoot,
Tekken 3,
Metal Gear Solid,
Gran Turismo?,
GTA San Andreas,
Final Fantasy X,
Ico_____?,
God of War,
Uncharted,
Little Big Planet,
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim,
The Last of Us,
Tearaway?,
Resogun,
Destiny

Out of all the great soundtracks from all PS games, it's the Uncharted theme that excites me the most. There's just something great about it.

I love it. Could leave it on all day.

awesome mix, wow...

I don;t know, that FFX music mixed in there is pretty sweet as well.

LOL @ the trophy pop

Someone please correct me or explain to me that if sony does not owned the rights to anything crash bandicoot why is the game main theme the first one played on this video? I really hope they bought the rights for the IP :)

Cause the video isn't from Sony. It's just iconic playstation music, they played Final Fantasy music as well and Sony doesn't own the ip.

...then I'll wait for the slow months to pick it up. Lol I did play Tomb Raider 2 when it first came out, but I was a kid and don't remember much. Thanks again.

Sony hitting them feels right on the spot. What better time could there possibly be to bring back some classics like Crash, Syphon Filter or Dino Crisis.

Do it Sony, DO IT.
