That stuff is. The person made a poor decision with, I'll assume, good intentions. Let them take it down, lets not quote it, and move back into video game hype territory.

Yeah I don't think it was intentional, I doubt he actually was aware he "died" albeit "seems" obvious, was likely trying to convey shock.

edit: He was aware. *confused* on intentions.

Wild Card prediction:

Sony announces new "Playstation Classics Line" going to revive old franchises as PSN games with indies on board. First game will be Crash with a trailer. Then a Powerpoint slide with a bunch of title cards with tentative dates next to them like "Winter 2015", "Spring 2016" etc. with the dev name next to them. Basically every 6 months or so releasing a small PSN title that is either a reboot or remake of old PS franchises.

nope, AAA or bust

Has this been posted?

That would be pretty hype. I like the way you think.

Someone get Drinkbox to reboot Barbarian.

The dude that posted the GIF is the one that later described it as they guy having an aneurysm and dying. Poor judgment however you look at it.

Anyway, I can go for all the TLG hype Sony Japan can generate. Bring it on...

I think this would be smart. Sony are sitting on a goldmine of IP, from Alundra to Colony Wars to Parappa. They'd be perfect to offer in between the huge AAA releases. Bring back the middle-tier, even if it is only PSN titles.

Yes!

Lol no PS1 game needs a AAA budget. Outside of JRPGs most PS1 games would be considered small by todays standards

if you're talking about a simple hd remake or short downloadable title then having an indie dev do it is perfectly fine, but I want to see what a next-gen Crash would look like.

This would be awesome but I don't think Sony is anywhere near smart enough to do this.

-Dragons Dogma 2 exclusive

-New Chrono Game from Square for consoles

-Crash Bandicoot Reboot

-Gran Turismo 7 Teaser/Trailer

-Uncharted New Trailer (its happening)

-The Order 1886 will impress me with their new Demo

-Some new Rime Material

-New Bloodborne Videos

-Street Fighter 5 Announcement (dont believe its exclusive - but maybe exclusive content)

I would be happy with such a conference
Even with No Final Fantasy 7, No TLG, No Shenmue, No Agent.

Uh, considering that would be absolutely miraculous and beyond any semblance of reasonable possibility, yeah, I should think you'd be happy. :P

Plus I think these old IP's could be expanded with the power the ps4 has as opposed to what they did with them on the PS1. Would be cool though!

Get this man a job.

Im just saying you can have a next gen looking game, it just doesnt need to be a 20 hr long adventure with unique art assets every 5 minutes. No one wants a 20 hr jumping flash. But something like 5-8hrs with a bunch of small enclosed levels instead of some sweeping open world? Sure why not?
Same with Crash, classic Crash design doesnt call for huge open worlds, just a hub and enclosed levels.

Nintendo and Sony should both do something like this.

Personally I'd rather Sony be cultivating new I.P with indies ( a la thatgamecompany and their three game contract) - plus I can only imagine the amount of ire they would invoke handing beloved franchises to unproven developers. I'd think a lot of people don't want anybody but Naughty Dog involved with a Crash reboot, for example.
