I hope a completely new setting + new protagonist
NOOOOOooooooo...Ascension is basically ideas that werent used for God of War 3. Adds nothing to the overall story, and is actually pretty confusing chronologically.
GOW necessities:
GOW1-3
GOW: Ghost of Sparta
The other games are fluff
Play in this order
GOW1-> GOW 2 -> GOW Ghost -> GOW3
FF VIIR and DLC for it. Kappa
It'll be ready when the hype has burned it off.

No, it was a prequel. It is fairly skippable, but is still a decent game so check it out on the cheap if you can. It has the reputation it has because of the story being kind of redundant (it is a prequel, so we already know the ending) and being the 8.0 game in a 9.5 kind of series

New protagonist ain't happening. Kratos is way too iconic to be given the axe. We can hope for a new setting, though. Kratos vs Thor, the ultimate battle that will melt faces.
I'm hoping it goes on PS+ real soon then I can start the series with it and enjoy the glory of the other games afterwards

youre probably right on that. I also think many hardcore Fans wont accept any other Protagonist than Kratos...Just imagine a young good looking egyptian Boy instead of Kratos...The hate would be big (Like MGS 2)
