Nah, at this point it will only disappoint like the last one. As much as I loved that series I just don't think it is viable nowadays and/or Sony could pull off a version that the try fans want.
Also the gradient on SOCOM being different from the II always bothered me.
I enjoyed the shit out of CONFRONTATION, felt like the last good one. If they come back with something like that, I'll be more than happy to pay up.
Confrontation was actually good after they fixed all the bugs but it was toooooo late. I actually think it could have revitalized the franchise if they didn't release a buggy broken game to start. If not Socom 5, then i'll take Socom 2 HD!

That's pretty disappointing, I hope the hype is not only on GAF and PS owners are really excited about it as well, we want such events to be successful so Sony and other companies will do them more, it's much more fun and exciting than a Gameinformer reveal or putting all faith in E3.

Confrontation still had issues with two maps [small and big] It needed just one small map with a specific mode. it was better than 4 though.

True that! After they released Cold Front it was pretty good. Not to long after though people started hacking frequently and it became no fun to play.

I would've lost it at the FromSoftware... then flipped out and died when I saw the Victorian-era Van Helsing-ish atmosphere... and again when I saw the weapons and combat.
