How long will the conference be? Is there already a link, so I can watch it afterwards? Can't watch it live and I wanna avoid spoilers

It really doesn't matter if none of those things happen. All that matters is we have fun on the ride there! :)

At the worst, the executives who read GAF see what we thirst for and can do some research into making our dreams possibilities!

Sadly, I have a class during the event. Will there be a way to watch once I'm out? I'd like to watch the whole thing fresh without being spoiled if possible.

Deppressing weekend for me couldn´t get time off to fly over from sweden, would have loved to be there, ohh well i´ll just sit in here with the rest of you and keep getting hyped.

Bear with me, folks. Allow me to take a nice warm sip of

It's simply impractical for Sony to reboot an old franchise like Crash Bandicoot. Crash is a videogame staple that only made sense in the first generation of 3D gaming. Now there is no niche in the gaming market for a furry critter that has an abnormally large upper torso and a cracked out face that swallows gems and mangos. And the most I think we'll get out of Shenmue is an HD remake. Nothing more. Why can't we be a little more progressive about this and expect something completely brand new? I want something out of the ordinary, not some rehash of a now irrelevant franchise.

The conference will be 1:30h long.

Dunno if you can watch it latter from anywere specifically, but, in neogaf you may find these.

Square Enix, level 5,Capcom each of them will tease a new game either in playstation experience or jump festa, one thing is missing only, konami and its suikoden 6 :(
also i prefer suikoden 2 remake over ff7 remake, the two of them are impossible dreams though p=
& want a ticket for the hype train..hope it will crash the last guardian monster T_T

Because there are no big leaks, and it's really pretty much impossible to make guesses about things whose existence is unknown? It's easier to speculate and hype on the things people are nostalgic for and want to see again.

That being said, I don't think Crash is niche and if we ever get a Shenmue HD remake, it'll be the testing grounds for Shenmue III.

Which reminds me, Sony used to be leak central but recently they've done a pretty good job of being tight lipped. I kinda like it, getting a proper reveal rather than some leaked shitty pictures.
looking at you Bloodborne

Confrontation still had issues with two maps [small and big] It needed just one small map with a specific mode. it was better than 4 though.

Yeah, Socom was for sure at it's best when they had the regular sized specific mode maps. The funny thing is, the original socom 1 and 2 maps were not even "small" like you see on COD or BF4 when you choose to play small maps. They were perfectly sized i thought and so well designed because they were mode specific and catered to that mode.

I don't have class or anything to do tomorrow... the wait from when I was up to 9pm is going to be painful. Maybe I'll just sleep until 8:59pm.

Testing grounds, maybe. But I'm not remotely convinced there's a high enough demand for that franchise to take such a risk.

Agreed. I'm really digging that we don't actually know what's going to be shown. And even of the stuff that we know will be at the show, we don't know what they're showing precisely. No leaks makes me feel like a kid again.

Now that's a different argument altogether, and one can easily argue that there isn't a high enough demand for Shenmue HD, let alone a third installment. I don't agree though. I think with the right marketing, it could fit into the market nicely.

It's been like a lifetime of slow agony and the blink of an eye simultaneously... and all due to this thread.

I agree, I have been anxiously awaiting this weekend and it has felt slow but so fast at the same time. I don't know what I am doing until tomorrow night (No class and finished HW in advance)

The TGA (This year's VGA) comes on Friday night at 6pm PST. The PSX is Saturday morning at 10am.

I really like the timing.

TGA, post-TGA discussion, sleep, wake up, breakfast -> lunch + pre-PSX hype, then the keynote.

I hope no videos/pictures leaks before the keynote. Game title/developer is fine, but it would be nice if it everything was a surprise.

We don't need that DewRitos crap in here. New thread.
:)

I'd give Geoff the benefit of the doubt for these awards. The past awards he was involved with always seem to have network meddling (hosts, presenters, musical acts, plugs for things, etc.). If this ends up feeling more like that Last of Us event he produced, we could witness something special. In fact Neil Druckmann, the night of the TLOU event, said to Geoff that the VGA's should feel like that. Shortly after, Geoff started planning these new independent awards. No more having to deal with Spike. Because it's not on TV, they really don't have to cater to advertisers or executives.
