It would make sense. Something like "we'll fund half of it if it doesn't come out on Xbox One", so Capcom agrees and releases it on PC as well to make more money.

If you look at the history of the series, it took six years to go from Street Fighter II to Street Fighter III, and nine years to go from Street Fighter III to Street Fighter IV," he said.

My guess is an average desktop PC right now will end up running SF5 just fine provided it runs on a modern OS.

As with Tomb Raider, I wasn't going to buy it on the Xbox One either, and instead wait for the PC version - so it doesn't necessarily affect me. But if it is a similar case of "paying to keep it off another platform", I feel the same way as with Tomb Raider, this isn't good for any gamer.

I strongly doubt SFV would need saving by Sony, and if it did, and Capcom couldn't find their usual funding for _STREET FIGHTER_ - then Capcom is in serious trouble with or without this deal.

Didn't Sony moneyhat Injustice Ultimate Edition for 'next-gen' platforms? It still got a PC release.

I think that was more a case of a game that the game was never going to come to next gen consoles, and Sony paid to have a version of it made so they had a fighting game at launch.
