So I was thinking, seeing as this one will be streamed on WiiU/PSN/Live/Steam how will they handle trailers of announcements for stuff that isn't available for said platform?

I mean, will WiiU stream the MGO segment and the Demon Souls remaster?
Will XBLive stream the trailer for Metroid Prime 4 and Star Fox: The Coming of Ages?

Seems unlikely to me, but I'm here to ask you guys

No. The screen will just flash to a Nintendo/MS/Sony logo any time a game that is not on those respective consoles is mentioned.

Come on man. Of course they're either going to air the whole thing or nothing at all.

This is good IMO, to me the SPIKE VGA crap always seemed to be bought out by Microsoft. In other words to me the SPIKE VGA's always seemed to promote the Xbox it seemed BOUGHT. Now this here we have all 3 major Companies and big publishers involved.
To me this is WAY more interesting.
And Sony will follow by showing more the following 2 days at the Playstation Experience.
Smart of them.

Dammit Geoff, this will be great.

:)

To me Sony is taking advantage of the VGA's. It's very smart of them, kinda making it their own little E3 before the end of the year.
They will TEASE new stuff during the VGA's and then they have 2 days after with the Playstation Experience thing to show off and demo and REVEAL what was teased during the VGA's.

VGX 2013: Forza Motorsport 5 takes Best Driving Game
VGA 2012: Halo 4 takes best graphics (Deserved it console-wise, sort of a bare year)
VGA 2011: Forza Motorsport 4 takes Best Driving Game
VGA 2010: Halo Reach takes Best Multiplayer Game
VGA 2009: Forza Motorsport 3 takes Best Driving Game

And so on and so forth, with the the rest of the categories going to 3rd parties and Sony (who has GOTY winners). If bought by Microsoft, than they're wasting money. Also never saw much of an edge in 'premiers' between Microsoft and everyone else.

The only nastiness that would point to Microsoft marketing over the years was last year's VGX in regards to Titanfall, and we all know how well that went over even amongst those on the show.

But yes, it is a smart move on Sony's part to give a good show on what's to come when most places are dealing with the past year, giving them a good edge in holding mindshare.

Will these be streamed online? I don't have cable and haven't in like 10 years lol.

I definitely want to see the mega tons, and the MGO reveal will be just pure fap worthy.

This already will be the best Game Awards in who knows how many years thanks to the MGO reveal. Everything after that is just icing on the cake.
