Wife just told me she wants us to go tomorrow morning with family/friends to the zoo for our kids...

*looks at keynote schedule*
aren't you feeling sick
i hear something is going around.

Alas, I am in a similar situation. Tomorrow is Christmas tree cutting down & decorating day in our house.

I still don't get why TheBooya or one of the other Sony guys here haven't just done the obvious and basic thing and just tell us they don't have Crash and it isn't happening...if it isn't happening.

They probably have more important things to do than console the 50 delusional people on GAF who actually think this will happen.

Thought this thread would be a good place to dig up this old Kotaku interview with Boyes. Remember that "list" Gio Corsi was working on?

Schreier: With the caveat that this is all up in the air, this is all in negotiations, are there any that you guys have in mind that you would really like to bring over here?

Boyes: I think a lot—we get a ton of requests for Yakuza, a ton of requests for Shenmue. We see the lists. Like everything that people have tweeted Gio, literally we have a person that compiles those lists and prioritizes based on how many requests we've gotten. And I think to date there's well over 10,000 mentions across like forum threads and stuff like that. So those are the ones we're focused on.

Schreier: All of my readers want Final Fantasy Type-0, which is a PSP game that was never brought over here. That's like number one request from everybody.

Boyes: It's on the list. It's building the list.

Schreier: Another one is that Suikoden PSP game that was released in Japan but never made it here. Is that something that you've gotten requests for?

Boyes: It's on the list, yeah.

Would they really go to so much trouble to drop hints so vague that nobody got for a remastered trilogy though?

A UC collection would be very nice indeed, but a completely new ip even better.

While I agree, they did just make a completely new IP last year. I think their resources will be taken up with Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2 in the foreseeable future, although ideally I'd love them to make Savage Starlight as their next game.

The reason companies don't respond to 'rumors and speculation' is to avoid confirmation by absence of denial. For example, if they confirm Crash isn't there, why didn't they confirmed FFVII? Is that there, they deny VIIR and then we decide to focus on TLG speculation, and if they fail to deny it, we know it's there.

Or Final Fantasy VII: Remake. If it wasn't happening, they should have told us so that we wouldn't get our hopes as high. Since they haven't, it's very likely to be shown!

/s =P

EDIT: Dang it StuBurns!

I'm sure this was posted already but does anyone think Sony meant to leak this because they have more SF5 news for PSX? (Cole, Kratos, etc. as PS4 exclusive characters)

It's gonna be painful for me, too. We have until next Friday to have all of our crap out of our house (that we just sold) and into storage, so this weekend is moving day for all the furniture

You can glitch out of the opening cutscene and force the game to load the player character. They just copy pasted Sandover from the first game. It's all there. Even places where there would be regular chests in Jak 1 have Krimzon Guard crates replacing them.

Oh cool

I have a confession to make. I adore all 3 Jak games, but couldn't play past J&D on the remasters because the camera control is just too slow for me now :(

Playing Jak & Daxter again made the purchase worthwhile on its own though

There are a lot more than 50 people who want and are hyped for Crash. And it's not hard to take a whole 5-10 seconds to make a statement.

Crash will not be there dude. There have not been actual hints, there has just been the hype train repeating the same inane posts over and over until they've tricked themselves into believing it's something meaningful.

What's a hint if this isn't?

With the Neogeo Poll on the blog i hope they can tell us what game is after Metal Slug at PSX. Guess it's way too early though

And it just ruins things. If they don't deny something, everyone assumes its true. If they want to keep it a surprise with that in mind, they have to lie about it like David Jaffe did with Twisted Metal, and then there's a ridiculous shitstorm about people lying to the audience, even when its a harmless lie told for a good reason*.

Silence is better, with the odd tease thrown in. Of course it can lead to disappointment, but only if you get too invested or make assumptions. The worst thing they can do is clearly tease things that don't exist, when that happens its completely fair to be annoyed.

the show didnt even start, So why are you thinking this??

SFV is one of many announcements

I really hope you're right.
SFV is a nice move from Sony, but it's not really a "playstation" game in my mind.

For this "birthday" I hope that Sony announce a game which have Playstation DNA.
