I love Street Fighter, I used to go to arcades and spend hours playing it or challenging friends for a fight. Thanks Capcom Street still a big deal, at least to me!

I really hope they funded it, but I just find that almost impossible to believe. SF5 is not a game that should need extra help funding. Sadly I think Sony stooped to MS's level.
 
Oh my god. SFV was announced? Has anything else been leaked, rumoured or announced while I was gone? Why is everyone talking about DD and TLG? WTF is Dragon's Dogma online? What is going on?!!!

Street Fighter 5 has completely killed my hype. Such a lame announcement. the one game capcom were going to make anyway. They just moneyhatted a game that was being made anyway instead of funding something that wouldnt have been made. Shit move.

Didn't Ono say that SFV probably wouldn't happen without some help? Capcom are pretty strapped these days.

Not likely.
Last interview with Ono on SF was that he wanted to work on it because its the series he is most passionate about but Capcom wasn't giving him the go ahead.

I'm pretty sure we had one of our insiders here mention that it's not the Capcom game they were excited about. I think SFV is a TGA megaton, not a PSX one.
 
If FF7 came out on PS4 could people who haven't played any FF play and be in the loop? Or are they all linked together and i'd be totally lost.

Hey, megatons are megatons. I'll take what I can.

I remember the Kid Icarus 3DS reveal, a game I didn't want, from a developer I don't like, and from a franchise I never thought was good, I was still so pump. The hype is infectious.

Pandemonium. Someone form Edge got so information about news that made him "whoop", a trademark was supposedly filed in Europe for Dragon's Dogma online, and people's hype levels are reaching the heavens.
 
God damn. Wake up to Street Fighter V being announced as a PS4 exclusive.
I had a dream last night that Sony announced a fighting game called Sackboy vs Toro

Street Fighter V PS4/PC exclusive, a trademark for Dragon's Dogma online, and tweet basically mentioning that SFV is not the biggest megaton.

Um... just out of interest, did you actually believe Sony were somehow 'above' moneyhatting exclusives? Because they've got a long history of doing it before this I can assure you :P
 
I'm disappointed that Street Fighter leaked and I'm not the biggest fan of console third party exclusives that aren't handled by the console manufacturer.

BUT. Street Fighter V console exclusive to PS4 is absolutely massive! It may not appeal to some of the posters here, but it's absolutely a megaton. SF is the biggest fighting franchise in the world and is both critically and commercially successful. In one move, Sony has secured pretty much the entire hardcore fighting niche and that's nothing to sneeze at. You really can't downplay the significance of this.
