Sadly I'll be having a doctor's appointment during the show. I'm excited for the possible announcements, but I'm also skeptical. Last year's VGA was so bad it hurt - I stopped watching as soon as Smosh came on.
I'm hoping there'll be some exciting announcements (Wolf Among Us season 2 pleaseee) but I highly doubt it, since PSX is tomorrow and Sony will save their best chits for their own even.
I wonder if Keighley knew about PSX before he booked everything for TGA because it seems to me like he just got shit luck and booked his event right before huge-Sony-announcements-day. Poor guy

I can't choose between watching this or not. It's airing in 2AM over here and I have to go to college at 8AM. So since it ends at 4AM I'm looking at for hours of sleep, the lineup doesn't sound too good either but I'm a sucker for this kind of thing.

Honestly, DA:I is the most obvious "press GOTY" and the most tailored for the show.

Despite Bayonetta 2 and DS2 being the highest reviewed games in the category, they probably won't win because these shows are typically more biased towards western games. The last japanese game to ever win this award was RE4.

I am going to assume they were both planned together.

They are both in Vegas, and Sony is sending some funding to the show, as well as MS, Nintendo, EA and Ubisoft.

Yes. I'd say the critical reception has been fitting and justifiable.
