The Game Awards 2014 Thread: Keighley unveils, less McHales

I'm liking the show. With movie or music awards, you're getting a bunch of people that are used to being on camera together.
Game developers are a nerdy bunch, they aren't used to crowds or cameras or big showy awards shows. So of course its going to be awkward. Geoff's done a good job so far, theres been some cringe but maybe next year he'll iron the kinks out.

But Imagine Dragons is unforgivable.

imagine dragons ;_;

I don't see the issues people are having with the show. No its not 100% awards, but it feels more like a general celebration of the medium and hobby and I love that. It's not here just to sell you on body spray and celebrities or sell you a movie. Instead they're celebrating games and the developers behind them.

I feel like I've seen this game somewhere before.
Low Poly games are the new 8-bit art.

Which I'm okay if they get the tone right, this seems like it does.

Codename STEAM looks good imo. Watching gameplay it looks like it's going to be and play really well. I'm glad Nintendo is actually trying new things, we complain about them rehashing so much. I like experimentation.

World premiere means that it's a premier in the particular part of the world where Geoff is.So everything shown so far has been world premieres.
