Anyone here a Jigglypuff user? I'm thinking of picking her up and so far all I've got is the ability to jump and sneak in nairs and down throw to punish.

I'm having a hard time going back to 3ds version of smash. The game just feels like crap compared to the Wiiu version, I can't deal with the controls on it anymore. I'm giving it up sigh. Anyone else having the same issue?

I'm not, but I have a N3DS so I've got the c-stick. My problem with Smash is that even on an XL I just can't see enough of the game.

Same problem with stages like The Great Cave Offensive and Gaur Plains on Wii U. My monitor is 23 inch, it's just not enough to see 5+ players.

Someone on reddit says he got to 65 turns in Crazy Orders with this set up.

Basically the trick is your home run swing is significantly faster, and you're already equipped with a bat, so you just OHKO everyone you come across.

WHY ISN'T MARIO A POKEMON?

You can get a bat for mario too.

Is that stuff specific to characters? I have barely touched any custom stuff but I thought the equipment was just generic stuff for anyone to use.

There's character, or more generally franchise, specific equipment. See those Pokeball symbols? That means they're Pokemon only equipment.

Can you consistently defeat lvl 9 CPUs?
I've got really really big problems with their pixel perfect blocking and countering :(
lvl 7 is no problem at all and 8 is ok...

Tried like 10 Crazy Order runs, couldn't clear it once because I always wanted to squeeze in more battles. :x

Same here man, I've yet to clear it once. I always get like 15 turns or something but then my damagepercentage is to low to take on crazy hand. But when I let myself take damage I always die :(

So the equipment with the bonus effects (start with item, increased stats after 100% damage) that you get through Challenges and stuff - do you only get one? I haven't gotten any duplicates.

If you were to feed these to an amiibo, would they be gone forever?

Challenges as in the challenge board? I'd imagine that there are always going to be stat variations of those exact equipment. Fed equipment is lost.

Got my three Amiibos up to level 10. It's pretty interesting to see them grow. You can tell they get a bit smarter after each battle and mimic your moves. It's funny how dumb they are in the beginning though, I've never hit so many clean bowling balls in my life.

Two questions:

1. What is the easiest way to farm coins?

There's a challenge to get 8 Fever Rushes in Trophy Rush with Dr. Mario that gives 150 000 coins apparently. Classic gives you more coins the higher the intensity, I'm sure a couple thousand on like 7.0+ at least, All-Star doesn't give anywhere near as much. Apparently Crazy Orders gets lucrative with coins after around 10 turns, coin rewards start being in the thousands.

Oh yeah, also apparently getting streaks in spectating gives a lot.

I wouldn't go the spectate route. I've seen some tremendous chokes, like being ahead 2-0 in the last 30 seconds and then losing to a team with a 23% win ratio.

There's a present on my Amiibos profile page, how do I get it?

I don't know about new players specifically, but I've been watching this series of videos (just posted within the last 24 hours) and have gotten a lot of good info out of them. I'm not new (having played Smash 64 and Brawl), but have very little knowledge of fighting games in general and have never really played Smash at more than low-mid-level.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnRLY4AqANY (Intro to mechanics part 1)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LuB5UwcsMk (mechanics part 2)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d30uy9hR4vw (characters)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny3Cj_5yVmE (more characters)

Note, these guys are advanced players and a few of the things they mention are over my head, but for the most part I found it pretty easy to follow. The character-specific stuff in the last 2 videos will be really nice for learning how to play your fighters of choice.
This is very useful.

Go to the amiibo menu, scan it and you will receive them.

Off topic: I don't know if it is because I play mostly as Zero Suit Samus, but my Samus amiibo completely destroys any ZSS AI, every 99 stock match that I put her against them she utterly wrecks the competition. Maybe the ZSS AI is not that good? Don't know, but I really love how they programmed this amiibos.

EDIT: I'm saying this because I tested her against 3 and 7 of: ZSS, Fox, Lucina, Marth, Ike, Bowser, Little Mac (the ones that I play), and since ZSS is the one that I play the most, coincidentally in the end she had the biggest stock advantage against her of all the other matches.

Ok. So Yoshi has a lot of instant or near instant attack frames. And most of his normals have very little lag. His recovery is way better than it used to be (I can use his up + B multiple times to lift myself further along when trying to recover). And he's hella strong and quick. This is no longer the Yoshi of old.

Good damn session super, kinda went reckless abandon toward the end of that session, damn fine ganondorf and stage pick. Your Duck hunt is a bitch too, hate projectiles lol

yeah that was a long session! i had no idea how to approach your kirby with my normal characters - it felt like everything ended in a frame trap or a bad trade.

bizarrely, only my ganon could deal with it. GGs

Is there a way to win the Challenge where Kirby needs to eat enough food to bring his % down to 0?

Those six King Dedede are constantly kicking my ass and the food does not replenish enough health in order for me to heal Kirby before the 2 minutes counter is over :(

A lot of people don't know about Kirby's defense game, he's hard to get solid hands on, heavy characters are my nightmare because I don't mind trading damage cause I have high survivability, but your ganon don't afford too many of those

What's the quickest/best way to cycle the trophy shop in this game? I did a cheap classic run with 2 co-op characters, and I've done like 6-7 Trophy Rushes in a row, and the stock stayed the same. Which is annoying, since the Alt trophies are exclusive and definitely something I still need a good number of.

Also, any way to check your total number of blocks broken in Trophy Rush (wanna know how close I am to that challenge)? And is there a quicker way to check which characters you've got all the special moves for than going into each one manually via customize (the milestones don't get recorded to look at, which is super lame)?

I get that, but the most I can hit the sandbag is about 2000-2300ft with him.
I think you should forward smash then down smash than forward tilt spam until the last second than use a reverse warlock punch. Don't use a bat for Ganondorf. His B hits farther than the home run bat.

This is what I did for Kirby's crazy appetite event match. I absorb DDD power and than I proceed to eat the food using the B rather than pick it up. For some reason using B to eat the food with DDD power recovers more health and I finished this on hard too with 20 sec left to spare. Of course luck may play a factor too because food that one time also conveniently kept spawning in one area while all the DDDs were stuck in lava ping pong.
