God damn, India tracks turn into complete slide with heavy rain and hyper class cars. If you are mean, play it until you nail perfect lap (without crashing into the wall) and send that challenge around

Am l the only one that thinks the A.I is silly good in the rain? Man l hope Evolution tune the A.I further here, how can they drive so fast in heavy rain ughhh. It's the only thing frustrating me right now.
They also need different wiper speeds, l need something much faster to see better in heavy rain!

I see. Not sure how significant 5 cars is, but thanks for the info. Guess I will find a club, or make one. I should be able to commit at least 1-2 hours per weekday on this if not more, and much more time on the weekend.

Remember that the audio mix is different depending on your camera view. Are you in cockpit or outside? I imagine everything is quieter inside the car, try 3rd person?

Don't be too aggressive and try and have smooth movement with the analogue sticks and both triggers. Get a feel for the game before you try and go as fast as you can, look through corners not at them and if your car is starting to escape the line you want to take then lightly and smoothly adjust the car, if the line you want to take has gone be slightly more aggressive in your adjustment as you are most likely going to go into a wall or off track, if you cant see the exit point on coming up to the corner it means you are going to have to break harder. You don't have to slam on your breaks a quick tap to the break and release of the accelerator earlier on is more effective at getting you around the corner at better angles and greater speed, when going around corners feather the accelerator if they are long, if they are tight and short release until you are lined up with the exit point. Always read the road and adjust accordingly depending on the cars handling, you might not get the times you want straight away but you will get around clean, from there you can start to push yourself. Oh learn from your ghost and other ghosts.

Just join any club that has already unlocked the cars. No need to wait that way.
I think it's mixed very low.
There's definitely rain sound, and I'm also pretty sure I could hear some thunder in one of the Youtube videos presented here.
That's 1/10th of the original cars roster.
Free additional cars that won't be locked behind clubs are coming, though.
Now with some cars locked behind multiplayer, lol.

So it's an amazing looking game from an incompetent studio?

Mistakes were made but the game is running great now with added tracks and free dlc, photo mode and weather as well.

Lightning doesn't make any sound, but you should hear the thunder. I'm pretty sure I heard it in that Ferrari vid on this page.
Edit: Yep, you can hear it but it's pretty low. Would be nice for them to up the mix a bit.

It isn't hard to set up/join a club. There has to be some incentive, the game IS called DriveClub.

lightning, as you know, sounds silent unless its on top of you. on the horizon rolling thunder would be lost in the noise of the race.

And if you aren't already aware, you don't have to do multiplayer challenges or races to unlock stuff. Once you're in a club (or create your own) you have a second EXP bar that all members of a club contribute toward. It works the same as your Driver Level where you unlock a few cars by hitting a certain level.

I can hear the rain in the Renault DeZir, but I had to really stop and listen to get any trace of the thunder. Its there but barely.

All I did was find someone on my friend's list who had an opening in their club and joined it. They haven't played at all since, and I've been doing all the leveling up. But at least I have access to all of the club cars.

Well I've noticed if you're going into an event by yourself, without AI drivers, (like a time trial or drift event) it loads up twice as fast as say..a race event with other cars. But the loads have always been pretty damn good I think.

Me too. Evo remain a quality studio who have only gone up in my estimations after playing Driveclub the way it was supposed to be played. I bought the game on launch, I could be sour but I guess I'm a glass half full kind of guy. I don't think they knew what was coming when they released this game.

It's a bug related to sound mixing, apparently
Hopefully the fix gets released before they wrap up for Christmas

It's such a shame that DriveClub didn't launch as it is today. The weather effects look absolutely phenomenal. I cannot believe how superb it looks. This update has exceeded my expectations.

You don't need to be social in the game in order to unlock the club cars. I have two other members in my club, but I've done most of the club levelling by myself, and it's on level 18 at the moment. Just create a club, and let the points rack up while you play the tour events/single races.
