It's fine.Hi Shinobi. In my list I put Call of Duty 2015 (I know, I know). Since it hasn't officially been announced but is inevitable does it still count or should I change it?
1. The Witcher 3
2. The Legend of Zelda WiiU
3. Batman: Arkham Knight
4. Uncharted 4
5. The Legend of Zelda: Majorask Mask 3DS
6. Ori and the Blind Forest
7. The Order 1886
8. Metal Gear Solid 5
9. Yakuza 5
10. Quantum Break
I thought I was being funny by listing Torment. But that one takes the cake1) Pillars of Eternity
2) Star Citizen (lol)
3) Bloodborne
4) Phantom Dust
5) Galactic Civilization 3
6) Mount & Blade 2 (lol)
7) Batman Arkham Knight
8) Zelda Wii U
9) Street Fighter 5
10) X
1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : I've been needing this in my system ever since the original unveiling of Ground Zeroes. My hype for a game in this series has never been higher, and Kojima-san looks to be in top form for this outing. I've wanted more ever since those final moments of Ground Zeroes. This is the final link between the Big Boss era and the Solid Snake era. The fall of Big Boss, the rise of Outer Heaven. Give it to me now.
2. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : Any Zelda game makes me all giddy in the pants and this looks to be the most ambitious title yet. I'm beyond excited that the forced motion controls of Skyward Sword are gone and traditional play has returned. Yes we know very little so far, but after the series innovations presented in A Link Between Worlds, I have nothing but high hopes for this game.
3. Xenoblade Chronicles X : The original Xenoblade Chronicles is one of my favorite games of all time. The scale in X looks to be beyond the already impressive scale of its predecessor. This will be the Wii U's definitive RPG.
4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt : Assassins of Kings was one of the best RPGs I've played in years, and it was a game where your choices actually changed the way the story plays out. Wild Hunt looks even more ambitious with a full open world. Geralt's final chapter is going to be a great one.
5. Batman: Arkham Knight : I'll admit it: I'm a sucker for anything Batman. Asylum and City were two of the best PS360 games, and after City's shocking ending, I can't wait to see how the chapter of this Batman tale closes.
6. Bloodborne : I've never played Demon or Dark Souls (yeah yeah send me to the depths) but everything about Bloodborne screams out as something I need to play.
7. No Man's Sky : I've mentioned a lot about ambition in this list. No game next year looks more ambitious than No Man's Sky.
8. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : Still need to finish UC3, but Drake's final chapter is sure to be a nonstop thrill.
9. Splatoon : A fun creative multiplayer-oriented title for the Wii U? Sign me up.
10. Yoshi's Woolly World : Haven't played a Yoshi game since Yoshi's Story way back when but the art direction in this one is too good to pass up.
Honorable Mentions : Mario Maker, Rainbow Six: Siege, The Order: 1886, Code Name S.T.E.A.M.
Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (Wii U): Would be on the list if I knew it would be out in 2015, but no info from Nintendo yet.
1. Mario Maker: If there is one game I think will be perfect for the Wii U GamePad, it is Mario Maker. It's a simple yet ingenious idea (as demonstrated by Lunar Magic and similar) and if executed correctly with good emphasis on content sharing online, this could create a huge and thriving community for many years to come. It shouldn't be that difficult to add new content after time either. Game looks and feels great, can't wait to try it.
2. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U): While we haven't seen much from this title, it appears to incorporate some neat new fresh ideas to the franchise with the open world gameplay being the most apparent. I like the visual style a lot, also the fluent horseback gameplay seems intriguing. Definitely a must have for me.
3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: The story of Kojima's upcoming epos I find really interesting, with a lot of controversial topics like nuclear proliferation and child soldiers. Coupled with awesome gameplay regardless of how you choose to play, this seems like a great experience. Also, it's gonna be neat seeing how far you can push the game and Fox Engine in terms of graphics (on PC obviously).
4. No Man's Sky: I like games featuring procedural generation. It may not fit for every genre, but in terms of exploration, which seems to be what No Man's Sky focuses on, it's a great match. That together with the wondrous visual style of the game and music by 65daysofstatic ought to make for a stunning experience.
5. Star Wars Battlefront: I trust DICE will make this equally qualitative to or better than the previous games in the series. And that's a premise holding good things. To take on the role as a jedi or sith, or other classes, in the heat of battle has been proven a winning concept. With the opportunities granted by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, this one ought to be a gorgeous game.
6. Grand Theft Auto V (PC): I didn't get around to play this game when it released, so I'm eager to try it on PC one it launches in January 2015. That it's a great game I don't have to try and validate. I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the ride while also getting to create mods and whatnot.
7. Overwatch: A new IP by Blizzard one shouldn't ignore. Sure, the multiplayer first-person shooter genre isn't new, but Overwatch can hopefully bring some new ideas to it. I like the many different characters, the story and the levels. If they bring mod tools (maps, game modes etc.) too, they'll likely ace a new blockbuster.
8. Wattam: Whatever this is, I will probably like it a lot. Keita's previous games, Katamari and Noby Noby Boy, have been really fun. That Funomena comprises a really strong team doesn't make it any worse.
9. Human Element: Nice visual style, even though on a technical level not overly impressive, to this and a neat story idea. The customization options to your character are interesting.
10. Before: Adorable visual style and gameplay that does not seem very stressful (for a survival game). And as it is by Facepunch Studios (Garry's Mod, Rust), I'm expecting some really genuine mod tools and that's always fun.
DOA5 Last Round has a date doesn't it?
Scalebound doesn't count as it doesn't have any form of release window estimate. Not sure about Tekken 7, if anyone knows any dates associated with it feel free to chime in.
