Just beat a really annoying samus player in for glory, kept spamming missiles and charge shots the whole time. Also sonic is a beast, just started trying to learn him and he's much better than he was in brawl

Welcome to the "gotta go fast" club!

I really tried to like Sonic in Brawl, but I feel like he's finally viable in 4. Here're some tips:
  • When you're being comboed, use upB to get away
  • At a certain height, you can dair to land really fast and do follow-ups. This can be abused when using upB as long as it wasn't started right at ground level
  • SideB can be shield cancelled, and you can jump around while charging it for mindgames
  • When you can get a grab right on the edge of a stage, force a grab release and follow it up with a spring to gimp their recovery. So far that strategy has been really useful for me since people often button mash to break free, and they end up randomly gimping themselves after the release
  • Spring gimp like crazy, since it's so good. I love trolling characters with weak or slow recoveries

I see.

One thing I don't get about 8-player mode is why they let us play in regular Battlefield, the stage is just waaay too smal.

Pretty sure it's purely for performance and nothing to do with it being balanced. Yoshi's Island is a giant horrible mess..

Wait, no, it's a very small horrible mess.

You guys notice that if you select those stages in Omega Mode (in 8 players) it gives you Giant versions of those stages?

How to beat that motherfucking Sonic? He keeps spinning around like an asshole. I hate his sounds. I hate his face. I love when I beat him and hes clapping like a loser in the background though HAhAhahsqhshqhha
