Capcom Cup 2014 | Fighting Game Tournament | Dec 13

Right now all the frames, options and spacing is used for crazy matches.

How long until all the footsies and mind fucked can be achieved in sf5 to a similar level as now? Is going to take some time to download unless it's just another update.

Game being new means that there will be surprises and crazy shit. Now everything is known which is good and bad. I like both.

There's 45 characters in SFIV and apparently not limiting yourself to just a couple is desperate.

He won, that's what matters. At least what I thought mattered.

Not when you beat the beast, then you are bottom feeding desperate scum

So wanting to win is being desperate?

TROLOLOL. It's "desperate" to find a character that your opponent's character struggles with.

Xian is a rock solid SF player, and has attempted several of his other character's he's clearly an expert with.

To add, it's not like it was a hella free match for Sim, or that the advantage is MASSIVE for Sim in the match up. It was just enough of an edge for Xian who played rock solid with his Sim to squeak it out over Daigo.

If Daigo wanted the edge---he should have played Yun. OR asked for a blind pick.

If he wants to play with a handicap than more power to him, but at the end people won't "praise" it...it'll just be shown as a weakness of his due to arrogance or some other BS.

Oh and on top of that... honorable Daigo switched to Yun in the version of the game where that character ran buck wild, and dropped him like a bad habbit the moment the nerf came.

:/

i mean would his yun be good enough to give Xian's Gen a run? cuz if not, the counter pick wouldn't work to actually win the set

the matchup is so bad that a competent yun can wreck sim. I'm pretty confident Daigo's is still strong enough to beat Xians sim.

the fuck is this shit, there's no desperation in counterpicks

That's what I call it when he's tried three of his other mains in the past year and got destroyed all those times though.

After those three he went and dug out a character that he hadn't touched in years as a direct counterpick - just sayin'.

Again, it's big money on the line right now so I can't blame him.

*shrug* Handicap yourself all you want. Infil. know's what's up.

Daigo probably felt his E. Ryu was strong enough to take Xian's Sim....I have a feeling if it was F. Champ's sim he'd have rolled in with Yun lol.

Daigo stuck with E. Ryu when he got beat at EVO vs. F. Champ, he never switched/counterpicked though.

It's all for the win so I can't hate on him, he did get his ass whooped all year so he didn't want this ass-whooping to cost him 30k tonight.

So he should have just accepted a disatvantage and picked his main(s)? I don't understand the shame in utilizing your entire skillset.
Not at all, there's no shame in it whatsoever! Just because it was desperate doesn't mean it wasn't super-smart (and also played off Daigo's self-imposed "no char switch" weakness.)
That's what I call it when he's tried three of his other mains in the past year and got destroyed all those times though.
Big Red X. These 2 have a history. Xian's been repeatedly bodied.
