I'll never understand why they make these hats so hard to get. Crazy orders seems like it would be the best way to get them but it always gives like the same 8 hats. I got a ton from trophy rush but that takes so long.

I tried to beat classic on 8.0 with Kirby.

I got to the end and had almost beat the boss and then died.

Continuing dropped the difficulty to 7.5 and I quit.

I can't force myself to go through it again.

I can only imagine what 9.0 is like but I'll never even attempt it.

It's no fun being a bad player. Now those unfinished challenges are going to taunt me forever. :(
Try Classic again first at least at 7.0, but instead of trying to beat Master Core, focus on just dodging attacks instead of attacking until you are familiar with each form. You should be well off once your first life is lost at Blades. They key is to just not get hit; practice.

I don't know if I can.

I wasn't expecting the difficulty to lower. That just killed any motivation I had. :(

I don't even want to look at classic right now lol.

Maybe in a while I'll feel like going back.

Why the hell is club Nintendo so slow, especially at 3am?

Also prettey sure the website fucked me over, as I entered my 3DS and Wii U Club Nintendo Code, got no coins, but was told they've already been entered.

I'm going to be so unhappy if thats true.

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely be looking into switching to some of my faster characters for this. My DDD can almost always muscle through large percentage damage when playing against regular people, but when it's against the CPU doing kooky things to keep up the highest possible difficulty he just doesn't work.

Happy to help, good luck.

Master Core is tough, you shouldn't expect to beat it on your first try. It took me a handful of tries to even reach Master Fortress, and then like another 2 to actually beat the damn thing. Now I can do it pretty consistently (with characters I'm good at) because I have all of Master Core's attack patterns down.

I can understand not having the patience to deal with 6 stages of annoying CPU's before even getting a chance to practice against Master Core though. It'd be nice if there was an event match fight against Master Core to practice for the real thing, like how Melee had a Vs. Master Hand and Crazy Hand event.

Good games Karsticles, your Lucario totally got me off guard in some matches, like that last kill with ZSS lol

fun stuff in the others too, that counter to my Falcon Punch, still hurts!

I was doing pretty well against master core by abusing Kirby's down b. I had gotten to his sword form and taken out 1 or 2 of them and then he KO'd me off the top of the screen and I was only at 30%. :(

When you KOed me with the Punch the subsequent match, I had a fsmash coming out that I thought was going to beat it. -_-

I just learned tonight that his side B is a command grab. Woah!

Also, your control of Zelda's teleport is fantastic. How do you aim it so precisely?

well, tbh I just kind of figure out the angles by pressing the stick in certain direction, I wish I was more accurate with it because then silly stuff happen, like that SD against Samus lol

you just have to angle the stick to teleport certain amount of distance, you just need to get used to it, like down-right will teleport you like 1/2 the distance or down-right but closer to the down direction wil take 1/4 of the way, something like that, dunno if I am even explaining it well xD

GGs Kei. That was my first time playing Lucario, so if you have any tips, please share. I find it so hard to KO with him.

like really?!
now I see why you were getting better with each match xD
well, dunno man, I don't really use Lucario, a bunch of stuff really caught me off guard since I don't know him much(or at all) iirc bair killed me with ease a few times, also that side b, dunno if it's as brutal with any character, since ZSS wasn't even at 100%, your Lucario was like 130ish% thou, keep it up!

Aura Sphere becomes spammable at high percents.

Bair can kill ridiculously early at high percents, but it can be difficult to land. To kill with Lucario, you'll need to learn how to read opponents.

Short-hopped dair to FP grab at high percents is a great kill combo - 100% on both sides should be enough (provided you force only the first hit to land). I think Fair combos into Aura Sphere at high percents as well. Upsmash is fantastic for kills - weak hit pushes the opponent into the strong.

But yeah, reads are your best friend since Lucario has a decent amount of end-lag on his kill moves.

GGs Romance Dawn. Seems you like the heavies. Good Bowser Jr. Great Bowser. Frustrating as fuck Donkey Kong haha. All very good though. Let's play again in the future.

Thanks good games. You are the first serious Diddy I've played so I'm still getting used to that match up. My brother would tell me its not the bananas, it's the up airs, lol.

Oh and seriously though taunt. It keeps me in a happier mood. ;)

Hey GAF, does anyone have any advice for getting through All-Star on Hard with Duck Hunt? I've already completed a lot of the more difficult challenges, like all the Cruel Smash ones, beating 20 turns of crazy orders with Mario, and going through All-Star on normal with Captain Falcon without healing (actually did that one on my first try!) but the Duck Hunt one is the only challenge so far that I just gave up on after so many failed attempts.

Thanks for all these tips! I am pretty good at reading opponents, since I am a Bowser main. I am thinking about dropping him, though. I just get tired of how punishable all of his options are. Nothing is safe.

Ahh, okay. I always tried to vary how much I was holding right/left during the teleport. Holding it at a precise angle makes sense.

Thanks again for the great matches.

I can't remember. I was in the air when it hit me though.
Yeah, Blades is the toughest. All I can tell you is that if he sends out the projectiles while not at its lowest point, they are much easier to dodge, but you must have been attacking at a fair height to achieve this. Never stone against the projectiles because it is prone to use it's shining slash when you exit stone. When he starts to wind up his rapid slash run all the way to the left edge of the field and shield when there, not stone. If you get caught in it, DI and hopefully he sour spots the hit. When he does the surrounding attack jump towards the top right to dodge the first slash and fall down after that first swipe; shield the rest and dodge the last slash.

Tonight I learned that 2 Little Macs in Team For Glory is bullshit lol.

My friend and I need to train more for doubles to beat all of that super armor.

i still can't force myself to unlock everything, it just isn't fun.

oh well, I'll just continue with my limited unlocks in the modes I do like.

Master Orders is awesome and you'll unlock plenty of custom equipment, soundtrack CDs, moves etc. there. Crazy Orders too although that mode is a bit more annoying since it's one death and you're done, and since items are turned on you never know when you get unlucky.
