Here's hoping. I was pissed about only getting Zelda and Diddy on Sunday after a huge hassle regarding their POS system refusing to let me pick 'em up before 12/17.

i sent them a pissed off email about this asking for an exchange since this is sold out on their site and i got it during the Buy 3 for $10 sale.

I might just try to resell it when it's harder to find to make up some money back. Gonna head over to TRU tomorrow anyway to check if they have any in stock so I can get them in person. Haven't been to a local TRU in years.

indeed, every amiibo has its own item number. should be obvs it's the wrong one but the packagers are morons.

I got some info, it was just in an official report sent to all of us, Luigi was specifically pushed to the 30th at BBY because of a delay on Nintendo's end.

I'm collecting them with my girlfriend hahaha.
But It's normal, I'm 28 and I have never been into "toys", but damn, these Amiibos are amazing.

It's funny, I had heard of the Samus lean but I had never noticed it in pictures or on any of the packaged Samus' I had seen. It wasn't until I took it out of the package that it became obvious. And it is super obvious.

Yeah, saw it after I re-read but it was too late. I left my stupid showing. :(

I'm really torn on whether or not to fully trust Best Buy or to just suck it up and buy at least one of the wave 2 figures from TRU (if they have any Wednesday AM). I've got $5 in TRU Rewards burning a hole in my pocket. That at least offsets their markup and makes one a few dollars cheaper than the GCU price.
 
Talking with a Nintendo rep at EB, he has no idea on Falcon/Pit/Luigi release date or any info on how the exclusives will be distributed in Canuckistan. He did say that Diddy/Little Mac may be replenished with Falcon/Pit/Luigi, though.

Best Buy has a fifteen-day return policy. ToysRUs has a 90-day return policy. If you could afford to be out some money temporarily, you can always do both just to be safe and return what you don't want.

Once the transaction was completed, she gave me the receipt. I then took the defective Fox, handed her the same receipt back, and said I'd like to return it.

This pretty much blew her mind. She stared at me with a vapid look on her face, but had nothing to say. She scanned the receipt for the return, but it was giving her an error. Her associate told her that new purchases take about 5 minutes before they can be returned. So I'm just standing there for another 5 minutes as she kept on scanning it until it worked.

No apology, no nothing. I can tell she still wasn't really wrapping her head around what I had her do. That was probably the most ridiculous experience I've ever had trying to do an even exchange anywhere in my life. Most places don't even use the PoS to handle these instances.

Hoping I don't have to ever return anything at TRU ever again, that's for sure.

A Best Buy I went to on Saturday had Zelda, Diddy, and Little Mac out on a shelf. Tried to buy Diddy, and the register wouldn't let me :(
 
My Marth/Villager[Murabito?]/Wii Fit Trainer arrived today from Japan. My [massive] order of other Amiibo from Amazon.ca should be here tomorrow or the next day.

The addiction begins.
 
Got the last Fox from Gamestop, Manager was there and gave me half off it as well out of the bullshit that happened with Mac. Probably helps I have like 10 games preordered there and 6 more Amiibo they didn't want cancelled.

This is off-topic, but how many copies of Adventure Time: Secret of the Nameless Kingdom did you guys get (if any)? I've only seen this game at 1 store in my area (out of all of the retail stores) and they only had a handful of them.

Seems like compared to the last 2 Adventure Time games, this game released with zero fanfare and attention.

But B2 G1 free 20 and under is a pretty crap deal. Considering they have always done just the regular B2G1.
 
gonna check my local Gamestop while i return something to Target tomorrow. Hope I find Diddy and Lil Mac. TRU really pissed me off.
 
Amiibogeddon is reaching as far as my small hometown in méxico.

I went and bought Fox as my 6th amiibo at the only store that sells them over here. There were lots of marios, pikachus, dk and about 5-6 foxes and yoshis remaining.

After I paid, about 6-7 guys in high school uniforms arrived looking for other figures.

Do you have Marth? "Why everybody ask for that, We never got it. Don't even know who that is"

Do you have Villager, Samus, kirby, peach, link, trainer? "All we have left is on the display stand. Everything else is gone".

They ended picking some of the "unwanted" commons anyway.

import shops aren't usually as dumb as the warehouses here, thankfully. but yea, i'm pretty annoyed now that Diddy is one of the hard to find ones. i'm gonna import him and Lil Mac just in case. IfI find him in a local TRU or BB, totally grabbing them up.
 
Thanks to this thread, if all goes well (big frickin' "if"), some of my amiibos will be calling out their attacks with German accents.

Is there a German word that means "thank you" and "screw you" at the same time?

Indeed. Went to TRU last week and they had 2 Diddy Kong on the shelves but the employee told me they couldn't sell them yet. I told the guy if he could hold one for me and he wrote my name, etc. The day after I go to the store and they are all gone. -_-

Didn't find a single Diddy Kong since then. Arghh.
 
How is gamestop with their preorders?? I preordered Shulk and Ike but I wanna make sure I shouldn't try preordering ike elsewhere too. I put in an order for meta knight with Best Buy but the order isn't even confirmed yet

edit: Also announce ZSS already Nintendo!

Same thing happen when my gf found diddy at TRU. Except the ending was different; she picked it up the next day.
